Still can't download Epi. 2 for Mac?
I have the Season 2 downloaded onto my Mac right now, and I'm in the central time zone as we speak. It's almost 6 and still haven't had the option of getting to download episode two from the episodes menu. Is anyone else having this problem right now?

I Live on the east coast and i know the feeling. Telltale please fix this before the night ends
Amen. I didn't think I'd have to wait this long for epi. 2....
I also can't download the game. I tried opening and closing it a bunch of times and that didn't work. I also deleted it and re-downloaded it from the Telltale website a couple times. When I was having problems for downloading TWAU Ep 2 this worked with one try, but after doing it four or five times for TWD it hasn't worked. I really want to play so can this problem please be fixed? I'm really upset over the fact that others who bought on steam have already completed the episode and are talking about it, and I'm here still trying to get it onto my Mac
I'm not trying to be rude, I just love this game and really want to play
Thanks so much for your help!!!
I remember reading that it just depends on what region you live in. I guess the time zone has some sort of effect on when you can download the episode and so on. I wish I had the answer, but I'm in the same boat you're in.
but im in the eastern time zone...shouldn't it be out by now?? it's 7 pm here
and they should release it all at once this isn't fair to us...i just really want to play the game i love it soooo much
I apologize for the inconvenience. You should now be able to download Episode 2. Please close the game and restart it, and as long as you are connected to the internet when you launch the game you should receive any of the necessary updates you need to see the second episode as available. Then once inside the game, navigate to Download Content, and under Episode 2 there will be a Download button.
If you still do not see Download next to Episode 2, please make sure that you do not have any anti-virus or internet firewall programs open and running that may be blocking your game from communicating with our servers.
This solution is not working, do you have any other solutions? I have been doing this for some time..... still no ep2 and bought season pass through Telltale.
I apologize, unfortunately this is the only way to have the game show Episode 2 as available to download. Please also try restarting your computer, and/or resetting your internet connection, and try again.
Sigh.... I did. Can we expect users to have EP2 by tomorrow at least? I took my firewall down have restarted multiple times connected and disconnected my internet, open and closed game. Nothing is working for me, still says coming soon.
same here...i restarted my computer then tried to reopen the game and nothing new...so i closed out made sure my firewall wasn't on then tried the game again and it still didn't work...is there a way we can be emailed the download or it can get directly loaded to our accounts so we could just re-download the game from the website and have the episode??
I also live on the East Coast, and I am having the exact same problem as you two. I have been working on it for two hours doing every possible trouble shooting thing and it is still not working. I am beyond frustrated it is 8:12 pm here. Everyone has already finished.
same over here!!!!! this happened to me with TWAU too!!! I worked longer on getting the episode than playing the episode!! it took me over two hours!!! at this point...I'm just gonna leave it be and check back every half-hour or so...if it doesn't come up by midnight, though...sigh...I'm really gonna feel let down
It's honestly really frustrating. We have already waited MONTHS for the episode, and now it's released and we can't play it. I don't understand why everything is so difficult for macs. How do you shut off firewalls though?
if you google it it's one of the first things to come up step by step that's how i found out how to do it...and i totally understand you but at this point I'm too bummed out to be frustrated anymore...hopefully the problem will get fixed...which it should eventually otherwise I'll be even more upset
My firewall was already off. I've officially taken every step possible.
I've heard that redownloading does not help... I'm not sure what to do besides just wait i suppose.... I would love to play but guess i will read my walking dead comics instead. lol
yeah redownloading doesn't work I've tried that a bunch of times already...waiting at this point is all we can do now
it is right now 1:34pm WEDNESDAY in Australia, where I am, and nothing, absolutely nothing wants to work, I know I am connected to the net, no firewalls or antivirus, nothing, why is it that I can't play episode 2?!!!! I just want to play the game
Same, I am having problems downloading episode 2. Should have bought it off steam.
Same problem... re-downloaded, restarted my computer, and checked that all firewalls were off, still nothing.
The same problem occurred with TWAU Episode 2... You would think they would have fixed it by now.
Edit: I live on the east coast as well
so far i don't think they know what's the problem...because after they've told us all these different things to do it hasn't worked...i think they just want us to wait at this point as they try to figure it out...which really sucks for us but hey...as long as I end up getting the episode and not money back instead I'll be happy, because regardless, I want the game I paid for, not a refund
Just checked and still no success. And where is the download content? Do you just mean the Episodes section?
I just decided to email their support email thingy at this point so hopefully they respond or look more closely into the issue for us
Awesome! Hopefully they work this out!
Another frustrated OS X users here. I checked everything from the Application Support-folder in the Library to my Firewall-settings, and I'm running the latest version of OS X. Nothing helped, nothing changed, the download simply isn't available. Has no one ever tested this before-hand?
I feel like the least thing to do at this point would be to give Telltale-customers free Steam-codes similar to Humble Bundle-purchases. Steam is cumbersome, but at least it works.
Still... Not... Here... (Get the reference
)
Telltale, I've been to work and back and the game is still "coming soon" for mac.
I am running mavericks and am on the east coast... why does it take so long to update your mac servers? Did you guys just forget about us?!
I think all of us Mac users are just going to have to give up for tonight. Based on moderator responses to this issue on other forums, users were told to restart their computers, turn off antivirus software, disable firewalls, etc. It seems obvious to me that none of those issues explains why us Mac users can't download the game.
For us, the problem is that Episode 2 still says "Coming Soon" -- for some reason, the game client doesn't recognize that Episode 2 should be available for download. Seems painfully obvious that no amount of computer restarting is going to fix this issue. Until Telltale addresses it on their end, us Mac users will be stuck waiting to download an episode that PC users have already finished and played through several times.
Well, TT will have some explaining to do if they don't have this issue figured out by tomorrow. Definitely not fair to Mac users who have already bought the whole game but are just having to wait for games to become available.
just wondering...if you bought it from telltale...can you download the game onto any computer you want?? PC or Mac?? cause even though we wouldn't have it on mac at least we would be able to play it and when it does work on mac we can just redownload the whole game and then everything saved should be transferred right?? cause at this point i might just do that if it would work
Not entirely sure...I think so, but don't take my word for it! I know some people have tried reinstalling and everything, but have had no success. Anything as this point is worth trying haha
It's worth a shot, I would even do it too. Unfortunately, I'm in a dorm with an iMac and a macbook pro... no PC. Hopefully they get this fixed soon.
Hi Martin -- I wish you were right, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Telltale won't apologize for this problem and, to be honest, I am dubious as to whether or not they even care too much. The hard truth is that TWD1 and TWD2 are extremely popular and, being gluttons for punishment, we as fans continue coming back in spite of being frustrated and irritated because the game is just that good.
Still, I hope someone at Telltale reads this and has a conscience. I know they invest long hours into realizing the world of TWD, but problems plague the launch of virtually every installment of all of their games. While these glitches are unlikely to deter most serious gamer-customers, it is alarming that these hiccups happen with every single release.
Can you imagine if a PS3 or Xbox game was released with these sorts of problems? While those games do undergo longer development times, they are also tested and polished to work out any foreseeable kinks before they are released. That seems to be the respectful thing to do for your customers, and yet Telltale continues to release installment after installment, each with its own set of frustrating glitches and other problems.
yeah the only reason i ask is cause i forget who but someone said everyone on PC already finished so if it's downloading EP 2 for them maybe it would work for us too with transferring all our files...but considering its midnight and already march 5th and i gotta be up at 6 am...another day of painful waiting is coming my way
ill try it tho asap and let you guys know if it works
but it'll be a while before i try it
I bought the game, I have it on my mac, not ep 2, but I got my mac on christmas, there is another windows computer in my house, which I have now played both episodes on release day on, I couldn't wait anymore, even though my play throughs from S1 aren't there, thank god for other computers/boot camp/parallels
So I know this sounds weird, but what if something to do with their servers where they through no fault of telltale are favouring windows or that something its something to with the mac address or something? I don't know, I really can't think of any other kind of thing that could explain the server issues
Another unhappy mac (OSX 10.9) user here. It is now the morning of the 5th where I live and I am still unable to download the episode. I emailed support hours ago and haven't gotten a reply. This is seriously frustrating, since it's the second time in a row it's happened for mac users. It's ridiculous we can't play a game we own. Come on Telltale, seriously look into this!
I'm aware there won't be a fix until tonight since it's nighttime in the US, but somehow I still check the game just in case in magically becomes available. Starting to think it won't.
Just had a full night's sleep and it's still 'coming soon' on mac. Seriously Telltale!? Fix it!
Same problem here, Latest version of Mavericks and still "coming soon".
I'm in Italy, my friend purchased TWD on steam an he got the update right away, maybe is only a problem for the TT store version of the game?
Unbelievable right? This morning I when I woke up I was convinced it would finally work, now I'm wondering if we're gonna be able to play at all!
Same problem over here in Europe. "Coming Soon". Tried everything as described by Telltale, but to no avail. Please fix it, I really want to play!
