Also, do I have to buy season 1 from steam in order for it to carry over into season 2 should I buy it from there? Or can it take my choices from season 1, which is on my mac and was bought through TTG?
I still have coming soon I also have ALWAYS (like an idiot) purchased all my games directly from TT... next time I will rethink that decision.... TT has dropped the ball to many times now. I can deal with delays but CUSTOMER SERVICE is something that should NEVER take a back seat...TT really has lost their customer service skills....

The thing is it's still early so I wouldn't expect a solution right away - although they should have communicated on this yesterday when the problem with mac users became obvious. I'm pissed like everyone else, but I understand they're not working overnight to fix this thing. Still I hope it'll be over with in a few hours...
It's working! I have the option to actually play episode two, and the best part is that it actually recognizes the fact I've played episode one, so I don't have to start at the beginning (or replay season 1). Definitely recommend just getting steam!

Your right but still they need to have a more active customer support system put in place for when the problem first arises. Ive tried tweeting emailing and all that jazz but nothing is eventuating. I might try for a refund or store credit.

I think all of us Mac users are just going to have to give up for tonight. Based on moderator responses to this issue on other forums, user… mores were told to restart their computers, turn off antivirus software, disable firewalls, etc. It seems obvious to me that none of those issues explains why us Mac users can't download the game.
For us, the problem is that Episode 2 still says "Coming Soon" -- for some reason, the game client doesn't recognize that Episode 2 should be available for download. Seems painfully obvious that no amount of computer restarting is going to fix this issue. Until Telltale addresses it on their end, us Mac users will be stuck waiting to download an episode that PC users have already finished and played through several times.
What's wrong with you? I'm serious. With so many people getting distressed at not being able to play it, you want to ruin it for them since you got the privilege of playing it first? How would you have liked it if you'd seen this before you got to play it? Probably pissed. Why not just be considerate of others or why just not keep your mouth shut or post in the spoiler form? You have issues.

I just received word that the issue occurring for Mac users unable to download the game should now be resolved. Please close and start the game while connected to the internet, and you should receive the necessary updates in order to be able to download the game. My sincerest apologies for those of you effected by this issue. I hope you enjoy the game!

Everyone that is having problems with Mac - did you buy it through Telltale or Steam? Really considering buying it from steam just to play....
To my knowledge, it only affects people who bought it directly from Telltale. Steam should work fine.
I bought directly from TellTale... guess I won't be doing that anymore...
