DETAILED LIST OF POTENTIAL KILLERS

  • I already know you didn't read the comics. Crane will get fired soon. Therefore no one was glamoured to look like Crane.

  • i think it WAS crane on the pictuere and he teamed up with the true killer. But he fooled him and made a picture. So he want that bigby and everyone think it was crane

  • There is enough evidence to put together a loose chain of events which fits the evidence given, but there's holes all over the place. There are a few red herrings thrown into the story, the biggest red herring in my opinion is Faith's head. Thanks to Lilly, we know that as long as the body is glamoured, the head will be too. So there are two murders; a head was found that looks like Faith's, but it could be anyone. Without the body we can't be sure. The second is Lilly, glamoured to look like Snow. Until we see Faith's body there is no reason to eliminate her as a suspect.

Regardless, the following points need investigated in future episodes:

**Faith has motive to fake her death. **
Helping her husband and herself is a potential motive to steal and even potentially kill. Since it is possible for Lawrence to die, it has to be assumed that the information gained from the apartment must stand on it's own without Lawrence discounting it by future testimony.

**Faith had access to glamours. **
This is a given through the work she does as a prostitute and through her connection to Crane. It could even be the reason why Dee and Dum are after her, if the person they work for is making money off of back alley enchantments. This is also a potential red herring; the glamours could have been made by Crane or one of his associates specifically for his "meetings".

Faith's body has not been found.
After seeing what happened to Lilly's body, it's still possible that Faith's head is a fake. Conversely, we don't have a picture of faith to compare it to. Could she have been glamoured to look like someone else when she met Bigby?

    Faith's connection to Lilly.
Lilly could have died as a result of someone else attempting to find Faith.

    Tarot Cards
Connecting plot events to the cards might reveal something deeper. Haven't attempted this myself, mostly because I feel like I'm getting a feel for the plot already.

Point being, I feel that a lot of the theories being put together seem to address only one aspect of the murder, or assume everything is related to the murder. As any fan of old 80's murder mystery shows knows, it's usually the little things that lead to the murderer being caught, and the murderer usually gets caught because they were sloppy. Dee and Dum are probably the reason for much of the sloppiness in these murders due to their following Faith's path, which makes me think that Faith is the murderer.

    Regarding Toad:
There is a fable by Aesop called The man, the Boy and the Donkey. Can't help but think this is important, given the testimony Toad Junior gave.

    cough-cough

I also can't help but remember the conversation at the beginning of the game... it might have more significance than you know, but not exactly how you think. Bigby warned Toad about needing to be Glamoured while out and about. That seems to have set the tone for the series. Toad's not a suspect in my book, but he did steal from his tenants. Whatever Faith was looking for was small, not big like the Donkeyskin Cloak.

Again, not everything has to be directly related to the murder. Knowing where the killer got sloppy and why can help reveal who the killer was. That's a HUGE clue if it turns out not to be a red herring.

  • Bigby, Snow, Toad... Why not Vivian? The woman who let you in. She may not be the killer but she seems to know much, she's smart.

    • She was close to Lily and Faith.

    • Crane mentioned her name. They had a meeting when Lily was killed.

    • She is smoking when you see her first time. Yes, many characters smoke, but there were Huff & Puff cigarette butts in room 207. Maybe she's smoking H&P.

    • Check the ep3 achievements. There's one with Nerissa "What Big Eyes You Have". So you are back in Pudding and Pie. Next one's title: "Huff and Puff". Somebody from Pudding and Pie + Huff & Puff = smoker from room 207?

You should add Vivian to the list.

  • How did Dee know about the first murder?

Wasn't it confirmed that by Ichabod during their car ride that the body was placed there when Bigby was with Tweedledee at the trip-trap? Tweedledee also says to Bigby during his interrogation " I was with you when it happened, dummy".

From what i have gathered, Bigby seems to be the murderer. Yes, i know people will say "If you read the comics blah blah blah" but since Bigby

  • It isn't. If you remember correctly, The Wolf Among Us is a prequel to Fables. Beauty says the stalking has happened to her before the events in the game.

I have read Fables up until the last issue available and, to be honest, I don't recall any story based on that premise. Although I haven't followed the "Fairest" series where I think Beauty features heavily.

  • Not all the the events of the comics happen after the game, several issues happen before the game.

  • i totally agree with u about the fact that crane is innocent and that someone is trying to give the blame to Crane but why would someone do something like that and or what did crane do to deserve it ?

  • Yeah, there was a bloody dagger at Lawrence and Faith's as well. This is somehow connected to the Pudding & Pie since all the victims are prostitutes. The next victim will likely be Nerissa.

  • What about Jack Horner?

  • Even though it is mentioned that Jack Horner went on a mundy killing spree, he never harmed a fable.

I thought for a bit about this. If you read the comics, you probably have a good chance at knowing who the killer is as this game is set before the events in the comics.

But, I was thinking for a bit, could the ribbons have something to do with the murders? An old folklore story talks about how a woman has a ribbon around her neck. When her husband asked why she would wear it and she wouldn't give him an answer. Here is the link to the story: [http://americanfolklore.net/folklore/2009/08/the_yellow_ribbon.html]

To make a long story short, she asked her husband on her death bed to remove the ribbon and -BAM- her head falls off. Remember in the first Episode how you could make a comment about Faith's ribbon? I think the ribbon had something to do with her death. You also found the ribbon in her mouth later after you found her head. Lily, I'm not sure this theory goes for her but it might for the next victim.

Another thing I want to note is that we still haven't found Faith's body. Unless her head was also a Glamour and that's why the doctor (forgot his name) wanted to run more test. Who knows! It's just a possibility.

Anybody else have some ideas as to what might happen? Right now, I don't really think anybody is the killer just yet. For all we know, this might be a two season series. Some people were saying that it might be another wolf, but like I said above, it could be the ribbon. Just imagine, once Georgie is done with that girl or they don't pay him up, by the pull of a ribbon, they're dead with their head on the ground. Also, Bigby also states once he finds Faith's head that something sharp cut her head off or magic. Again, possibly the ribbon theory, but, we didn't find a ribbon with Lily, so this theory might only work for Faith.

It is obviously two people because TJ says one of them says 'stop laughing' so they are clearly talking to someone, which makes Dee and Dum seem very obvious suspects but one of them was locked up at the time so someone else did it. Also if it was two people it would mean that the photo of crane could of been taken by someone else in the room and then they both killed lily and took her body down to the river and disposed of it, where TJ saw them. Who these 2 people are i am not quite sure but i believe that bluebeard is involved.

  • And you obviously didn't listen. Toad Jr says he didn't hear any laughing.

Here's an idea that hasn't been brought up before; Going by the minimal psyche evaluation of the killer we got through TJ, we know that the killer has at least more than one side to him or her. If this wasn't true, TJ would of heard laughter, but he didn't.

We can expand the list of potential killers by digging up old fairy tails of schizophrenics; one of the candidates that stand out the most is Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde. I'm unsure if he's seen in the comics as I'm not that many chapters in, but from what we know of his story he does have a brilliant mind half of the time. Maybe even enough to create glamours? Or perhaps research magic and curses (ribbons?). We'll just have to see what comes next...

  • The ribbon from Lily could have been removed. All the girls at the club have a ribbon. And Lily worked at the club.

my number 1 suspect is The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and after him bluebeard

  • Well, "The Crooked Man" or "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" might be a Mundy, right? And though I do agree your theory about him, and with a murder case no stone can be left unturned, but isn't it a possibility that he is just a reused character model? But it could very well be him, and it would make sense because they made a big deal about him when Snow talked to him at the station

  • comic spoilers
I think it might be Hansel. just popped in my head. its not blue beard, and crane has just a sick obsession with snow, this is vaguely mentioned in the comics. it could ofc be as easy as a embassy from the homelands... but then again they start apairing in the comic's. and that's much later. Hansel was exiled from fabletown. but there is no big backups on him.
I think the killer has not been revealed yet. but some might have conspired ot helped that we already have met...

  • Or the killer was talking to the body they'd just dumped. Crazy people do crazy things.

  • That is a possibility. I'm crossing my fingers in the next episode, they have the answers from the doctor about Faith and they find her body. That would be an interesting episode.

  • maybe it is a dwarf that is behind it

  • since glamour can make you look like anyone and they may or may not know she works with crane and are jelly of bigby

  • Bluebeard is my 1# suspect remember the case file Bigby had on his desk that was marked Bluebeard in episode 1?Dum,Dee+ Boss (who I think might be the Queen of hearts now that I think about it ) and I had to admit it But Bigby did cross my mind he might be the killer and not even know he is doing it. Also someone could be framing him... in which I would still say Bluebeard

  • Okay look, they didn't put glamours in just so they can keep repeating the same, "Oh, someone is just magically disguised" event.

At most it'll happen once more if at all.

  • Maybe Flycatcher?(Bigby said something about him at the suit of armor) I know this might sound dumb but how about the security guard... Grimble was it? He is the closest person to the doorstep of the Woodlands and could have easily killed Faith and Lilly and placed it on the step then going back to his post to fake sleep. And I don't know if it means anything but his feet are always on his desk when he "sleeps" and in a moment in the game(episode 2 when Bigby is talking to Snow in the lobby) you see him just... sleeping there and Snow and Bigby talking in the background.

  • My theory has been since episode 1 The Headless Horseman. i knew it must be related to Crane. Also there is no chance for the killer to be Bigby, Toad or Snow.

  • Is she on one of the episode art

Detective Brannigan, good point, completely forgot about her. Ill add my thoughts in now. Cheers!

  • Well i know one thing is where i the part of the crime show where we digging up the past only its was not are of the crime but what there missing the why why did they kill the girls and put there heads on the front door of fable HQ why the fake snow dress like the real one when we know she do not dress like that with crane or the photo my not be all real and a fact no one thinking about its the 90s sot hink 90s teck this looks like a power play so far do we know where the real main guys alive theres too mutch junk around the real the truth and we don't know whats junk and whats the truth

  • Or he was on the phone

Or the killer was talking to the body they'd just dumped. Crazy people do crazy things.

  • No he just the lazy security guy my not be one of them and how did he find them as what your saying is there kill there how did he move the body and cleand the blood and the killer up the fentce are cut him self if you look around when you find faith

Maybe Flycatcher?(Bigby said something about him at the suit of armor) I know this might sound dumb but how about the security guard... Grim

  • I think he is not the real target of blue not the main one at lest but the main ones crane

What do you guys think about Baba Yaga? I know there is no indication she will be introduced but...her description really sparks my interest and suspicion that she could also be behind it. She could very well be behind the 'black market' glamour and that odd wooden spell box Lilly had on her and working with someone disguised as either Red Riding Hood or someone different.

  • I don't think the person would be Red Ridding Hood. In Vol. 4 of the Fables Comics, she is introduced and then killed off. (this is someone telling the story of Red Riding Hood way back.) In the time period that they have the game set in, she would have been dead for centuries. I will admit that it would be interesting to see someone glamoured as her, but, I think that someone would catch on real fast that she should be dead.

  • My suspects are:

    1. The Headless Horseman (related to Crane in Sleepy Hollow and a great heads fan)
    2. Colin
    3. Bigby
    4. Mr. Toad
  • We actually see Gren in line to see Crane (or Snow) and he gets upset that Bigby just passes the line and goes in.

  • I think the genie's lamp is empty for a reason. It is in Snow's office. Whoever has the lamp controls the genie. So I think it is either Snow or Bufkin.

  • It was Aladdin's.

  • mr toad is my prime suspect yes he seems harmless and provides comic fodder but he be the least person you expect. also I agree beauty is involved in this some way she just came off as too phony in her outrage against the killer in the latest episode plus one of the murders happen right in her hotel.
