I'm having the exact same problem! UGH so frustrating... looks like its a Mac problem - since my boyfriend is able to play the game no problem on his laptop (PC). I hope Telltale can fix it otherwise I want a refund because, I'm able to fully play the game or make choices that impact how the story will be shaped in episode 2.
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. While we are still looking into the issue, please follow the above workaround by moving your SyncFs folder to your desktop, and then play through and make the choices, and then move the SyncFs folder back to the original location. You will then be able to keep playing. Please note that this issue should not happen again in the future.
