I think that spell is keeping things hidden. It has to play into the plot somehow, even if it wasn't cast deliberately for that purpose.
Just my theories. I think the phrase will pop up in the future and will hinder the investigation some more. I think we'll get to the bottom of it by the end.

It's probably a higher impact for it to be a man because in ep2 it was a woman with her top half exposed, which isn't that bad if it's a guy. For it to really be classed as 'nudity' with a man it has to be the... bottom half :S
I can do without male nudity, though oddly I think the rating "impact" would be much higher for male nudity as opposed to female, which is a… more weird double standard. Anyway, perhaps we'll find out if Snow's the fairest in the land for more than just her face ;P
