TWD Season 1 Savegame corrupt. How to restore?
My Savegame for The Walking Dead Season 1 has been corrupted in Episode 4. Searched for several days now but i didn't find anything useful to restore a savegame.
After i made a backup of the savegames i tried to start the episode 4 again until the 1st savegame. Then i copied the latest backup over the new generated savegame with touching the date. Useless.
Then i deleted all savegames and started episode 4 until the first savegame appeared. After copying the latest backup again it still ends up useless. No Savegame appeared in the slot i used, it was clear again with the text "new game".
At all this tries to start over new it was not possible to delete the savegames in the list of the game.
So HOW can i restore my game to a useful state in Episode 4?

After looking over your support tool, it appears that you do not have any save files, or prefs.prop file in the proper location:
C:\Users\user\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead
Unfortunately if you have moved or deleted them, your game will no longer register those particular save files.
At this time, I recommend uninstalling the game, and deleting any/all files associated with The Walking Dead, then do a fresh reinstall and play through again. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes you, and hope you are able to play the game successfully.
I DO have a complete backup of my savefiles. There ARE all savefiles in the directory you mentioned (48 Saves) but the game just won't show them.
If you do not have the corresponding Prefs.prop file that is associated with your save files, you will unfortunately be unable to use them.
i just uploaded a new logfile from the support tool. same place as mentioned above. This time i restored the savegames that were in the directory after the game decided to NOT load the proper savegame and tried to rewind me from chapter 4 to chapter 3.

Thank you for providing a new Support Too. After looking over it, it looks like your save files are now in the proper location, and should be able to be read.
The issue are experiencing is becasue of the extra prefs.prop file in
Please rename it to Prefs.Prop.Bak to disable it, and start the game again.
