Spoiler-free A Crooked Mile review thread

edited April 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

Hey guys,

I thought a thread like this would be useful, as many people want to know what the episode is like before they purchase but would rather avoid spoilers.

So yeah, post your non-spoilery reviews here :)

Comments

  • I think telltale-buyers just started playing right now, so we have to wait a little for them to start reviewing it. Still it's good to have a spoiler free thread.

  • Leaps and bounds above episode 2 in my oppinion. I'm not totally sure about the length wasn't keeping track tbh I believe my run through was about an hour and a half. I would say the most suspenseful episode yet and many choices dealing with shaping what kind of Sheriff your Bigby truly is.

  • I've seen that 3 or 4 people have finished it already :)

  • I'm curious, how have they been able to start playing already? I can't find it on steam..

It's available on the Telltale store now. It'll be out on Steam later today.

Damn, those people are fast. (or the episode is really short)

  • Sounds good, although I find the shortness a bit disappointing

  • I already played it and its awesome. Many decisions to make and new suspects. It was a nice entertainment

  • It still says "Coming Soon"

  • As long as the episode is as good as you say it is, the length of 1 hour 30 mins doesn't really bother me.

  • Mind you I didn't really keep track of the time so don't quote me on that officially, a lot of stuff was experienced during whatever the duration was and honestly I feel like it would have dragged on if it was too much longer than it was but then again I can't speak for everyone.

  • I hope it comes out for IOS soon.

  • Are there any surprising events in the plot, i mean, ending or like in the second episode, when **** turned out to be alive?

I already played it and its awesome. Many decisions to make and new suspects. It was a nice entertainment

  • Nope, nobody's alive. Everyone's dead as a dodo.

  • IT WAS THE MOST AWESOME EPISODE EVER.

That's all i'm going to say, to avoid spoilers.

  • Ok, but are there any twists in the plot?

  • I haven't seen the episode, but I assume there was some shirtless Bigby in there.

  • HE WAS SO SMOKING HAWT

I haven't seen the episode, but I assume there was some shirtless Bigby in there.

  • So, is the werewolf model for Bigby actually really awesome when it's in action? Y'know, fighting, moving about, that sort of thing. Or did it feel kind of clunky? I'm just wondering before I play the episode tomorrow.

  • This is crazy, get ready to be shocked! :)
    It is very amazing

I can't even begin to imagine your pain, brother. I have to wait only a couple of hours and the wait is excruciating, hang in there!

  • Doesn't matter.

    I don't have tits.

  • How long is the episode?

  • 1 hour and a half apparently. Still, it looks like is just as good, if not better than ep 1. So I guess it's a fair trade.

    How long is the episode?

  • i keep getting a login error anyone else?

  • I liked the ending the best out of the entire episode. New suspects aswell to add to your list.

It was very good. Maybe an 8.5/10.

    Pros (non-spoilery):

    • Some cool new characters

    • Some good decisions

    • A nice action sequence at the end

    Cons:

    • Short. What else is new?

    • Telltale has apparently completely abandoned genuine hub areas. This was a stupid decision which contributes to con #1.

  • Best episode so far. It worths your time and the end you just want more. 90 mins or about but it is really well done.

  • No hubs sh** thanks great review
