My Major Choices for this Episode.

edited April 2014 in The Wolf Among Us

-Did not interrupt the funeral.

-Went to Trip Trap first.

-Offered Flycatcher a job.

-Burnt down the tree.

-Killed Dum.

Throughout this whole game so far, I've done my best to be a good guy, but by the end of this episode, I'd had enough of everyone not taking me seriously, and made them pay.

    1. I didn't interrupt the funeral. Didn't see a reason too.
    2. I went to Dum and Dee's office first. I wanted to get there before they could get there so I could get some evidence before they could get rid of it, or even talk to one of them. It was a difficult choice between that, and Crane's office. I knew Bluebeard would be going there and he'd tamper with the evidence... Except I thought he would have maybe made some tampered evidence to frame Crane. I was under the impression Bluebeard wants Crane gone and to take over the office. That still might be a possibility...
    3. I offered Flycatcher a job. I figured he was a good person, but I kind of regret it. Dum and Dee might have an inside man with Flycatcher working at the office now...
    4. I chose to leave the tree. I'd rather befriend the witch and get her on my side any day instead of have her hold a grudge against me for burning it down. But once again, having her work for Bigby and co might be a bad idea if she still is against us...
    5. I didn't kill Dum. I don't want to kill unless it's necessary. Out of all my decisions, I feel like that one might be the one to bite me in the butt later on, like Dum killing someone in the future because I didn't kill him or something. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

    • Let the funeral go on, didn't seem to be any real rush.
    • Went to the Trip Trap first, since it was the most promising lead, then the Tweedles because I wanted to see if I could find anything more about them or their boss
    • Offered Flycatcher a job, nice dude, good at janitoring probably. And hey, if Crane fired you, you can't be that bad!
    • Did not burn down the tree, this odd event aside -- which may not even be directly connected to the murders -- she doesn't seem to be doing that much harm. Plus, I don't know if something funky's going on with that tree or if Auntydear will pop up again.
    • Spared Dum, don't want everyone to be all "Bigby, you're killing people again you savage >:( ;-;". Plus, while I'm pretty sure they're both pissed at me and probably will come at me with a gun again, I don't want Dee going "You killed my brother, prepare to die!" at me.

    1. I didn't interrupt the funeral (not a great way to reinforce the notion I do care about other fables like Holly, Gren etc)

    2. I went to Dum & Dee's office first (It seemed like the best lead since ever since the first episode they've been at the centre of everything, and Crane wouldn't leave anything in his apartment after having not done so for his office. Also, I'd visited the Trip Trap so many times at this point I didn't see it relevant, especially since Bigby had already checked Lily's body anyway. And Holly pissed me off with being randomly angry at me when I've been nothing but nice to her on my save)

    3. I offered Flycatcher a job (I thought I might as well, especially since it was a bit of a revenge on Crane by revoking his decision. And partly also because I ended up shouting a Flycatcher for his naivete at Dum and Dee)

    4. I did not burn down the tree (I kind of sympathised with the witches point of view, about fables who can't afford glamours etc and how that's all she had, and also that Snow was ordering me to do it. Like bitch, I like you - but you ain't my boss, not yet anyway. If she just said something like 'Bigby, the tree has to be destroyed; we can't let it jeopardise the intergirty of the thirteenth floor and possibly exploit other fables' blah blah, I would. But the fact she ordered me out-of-nowhere, I was just like no, bitch, no.)

    5. I killed Dee (Firstly, he sparked all this shitstorm by crashing Lily's funeral. Then, after we finally got Crane, he ensured he was then taken from our custody. And that's not even counting so, so much more. But above else--for my Bigby at least--when he goes into wolfmode, that's it. No mercy, kill everyone. I mean normal Bigby can be harsh and brutal, but--again, at least mine--he still is incredibly capable of compassion as well as mercy. Even when in semi-beast mode, I mean last episode my Bigby let Beast off easily. But yes, I feel like anyone who saved Dee at the end is practically doing a 180* on the concept of being a werewolf and Bigby both. The option of letting him go, and therefore letting all of them take Crane with no casualty or cost is not only uncharacteristic of Bigby, werewolves; it's just weak. Really, when Bigby had been shot like fifty times, and is in full beast mode he would stop to contemplate letting the man who just been responsible for all this chaos go without a scratch?)

Either way, those are my choices & reasons. The episode was awesome (though I do wish it could have been longer!)

      • Didnt interrupt the funeral for respect to Holly.
      • Went to the Trip Trap first because i wanted to ask Holly about her sister's things.
      • Offered job to Flycatcher cause he seemed like a nice and cool guy, little naive maybe.
      • Didn't burn the tree. Snow was mad at me but i told her maybe we can use the witch to help us with the glamours.
      • Didn't kill Dum. Now i wanted to smashed both of the Tweedles's faces but i know that Bigby went out of control when he transformed and didn't want to do something that he was gonna regret after. Its almost the same as ripping Gren's arm off. Sure Gren and the Tweedles needed to get beat up and i did enjoy it but after that to rip his arm or kill Dum is just taking pleasure in their pain.
  • I respect your opinions, and nice thoughts too!

  • Bigby retains full control as a werewolf. I mean, his real form is full-wolf. However, Dum did have it coming.

    1. Didn't interrupt the funeral.
    2. Went to Crane's appartment
    3. Offered job to Flycatcher
    4. Did not burn tree
    5. Killed Dum

    • Didn't interrupt the funeral. I wanted to be as respectful as possible.
    • Went to the Trip Trap first. Seeing Gren was a barrel of laughs.
    • Offered Flycatcher a job. Only seemed right.
    • Didn't burn the tree. Why would I want to make a Fable's life even harder than it is now?
    • Spared Dum his life. I wanted to prove that I'd changed and that I can't always let rage get the best of me. Even if Dum was being a prick.
  • edited April 2014

That wasn't Bigby's full wolf-form. Bigby's full wolf form, his actual natural form, is that of a in-appearance normal (aside from being massive) wolf. It's his natural form, so he'd be perfectly capable of acting with his current senses in.

That said, whenever Bigby transforms, it's generally because he's pretty angry, especially these only partial transformations, so that can cloud his emotions. But he's fully in control of himself, emotions aside, and will be fully held to account for his actions. Being shot 50 times or so will probably mess up your emotional state, however.

    1. Didn't interrupt the funeral.
    2. Went to the Trip Trap first. Broke up the fight between Scarface and Woody myself. Afterward, I went to Dum and Dee's office. There, I also took more of Dee's money.
    3. Offered Flycatcher a job. He's a cool dude and deserves a break.
    4. Didn't burn the tree. Greenleaf has no other way to make ends meet, so I decided to hire her.
    5. Killed Dum. He shot up Lily's funeral and put buckshot in Bigby's shoulder, and the Tweedles are neck deep in everything going on. Plus, I got tired of them always coming in and ruining my investigation, so trying to take Crane away almost sealed the deal. The final nail in his coffin was when he told me to go fuck myself when I had him pinned against a wall. I had enough of their crap, so I tore him a new one. Literally.
  • Didn't interrupt. Seriously... I don't understand why you would... Its a funeral. I just chilled in the back with Lawrence missing the whole speech XD.

Went to Crane's first, then Tweedle's, then Holly's. Holly's was the obvious, but I wanted to go to Tweedle's since they shot me, and Bluebeard wanted to go there. I decided to give them a break since I arrested Dee.

Offered him a job. He seemed really nice. I'm actually scared this may bite me later because it was a decision, and it didn't seem so important.

Didn't burn the tree. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer. But seriously... Snow was acting so mean I thought someone could be glamoured as her.

Killed Dum. In the heat of the moment I was so angry. They shot me so many times and I wanted to teach them a lesson. I feel that this was hardest decision in the episode. I hated myself when I killed him because "Killing is bad no matter what" as Lee said. I felt like I got gut punched when camera went to Snow. But hey. Better safe then sorry.

  • 1- Didn't interrupt the funeral.

2- Went to the trip trap first. I had no interest in Crane's office, so I wanted Bluebeard to go there first. Then, I figured I'd be free to check out Dee and Dum's. Worked out alright. I didn't break up the fight between Gren and Woody, by the way. Didn't want to hurt myself, and I figured they were too inebriated to do major damage to each other.

3- Offered Flycatcher the job. I don't see why not.

4- I didn't want to make things worse for Greenleaf and Sarah, so I left the tree alone and hired her. I figured employing her would be a good way to get her life back on track.

5- Left Dum. Maybe they'll appreciate that and not kill me later.

    ... Eh, probably not.

  • -Did not interrupt the funeral. Seemed really disrespectful.

-Went to Crane’s place first, did not make a deal with Jack, but I did stay silent when Snow asked what Jack was doing there. Went to the Tweedle’s place next as I wanted to see if I could catch Bluebeard. That didn’t happen, but I did offer Flycatcher a job. Then went to the Trip Trap, told Gren to let it go with the Huntsmen and told Holly that I was doing all of this for Lily.

-I did not burn down the tree. I tried to see if maybe working for the office would better but neither of them were having that. I ended up telling Snow she was not the boss of me yet (which I didn’t really know that was what he would say, but oh well). Don’t like making Snow mad, but it just seemed like a really harsh move to make to just burn the entire tree down. I feel like that would come back and bite me in the ass.

-I did not kill Dum. I am doing my best to not kill anyone. If Bigby is trying to turn a new leaf, then that is what I am going to RP him as trying to do.

But I'm going to play it again and maybe change things (not kill dum this time, etc.) I do that and then play the next episode with bot saves to see the differences in the story. I love that.

PS: Sorry if my english isn't very good.

    1. I must have been one of the few that did interrupt the funeral. I just thought getting to Crane was urgent. although i did wait a little before interrupting.
    2. I went to the tweedle's first.
    3. Offered flycatcher a job
    4. Didn't burn down the tree.
    5. Killed Dum.
  • My choices:

    1. Did not interrupt funeral b/c I am not a total douche (83% chose this option at time of play)
    2. Went to Crane's Apt. first b/c Bluebeard was dead set on going there, and I do not trust the guy. (33% chose this option at time of play) When I did go, he ended up going to the Tweedle's office and punched Flycatcher. No new information was given at that location.
    3. Made a deal with Jack which happens if you went to the apartment. (67% chose this option at time of play). I also tried to hit him a few times, but my shoulder gave out. :(
    4. Did not burn down Greenleaf's tree. (83% chose this option at time of play) I just "hired" her whatever that means. Also, I introduced myself to her kid form as "The Big Bad Wolf", and I told her if she was good, I'd give her a rundown of the story. :)
    5. Did kill Tweedle Dum b/c the dude earned a straight up beatdown (48% chose this option at time of play) Seriously, his brother and him shot me. Probably will have to kill Dee in the next episode...

Also, am I the only one who was like "tell me what I need to know or face my fist of justice and furious anger" during this entire episode? There was so much B.S. that these fables were giving me, and I was not having it.

  • Yeah, I try to be nice, but I lost it with Greenleaf and Dum.

    • Did not interrupt funeral - Had some respect to not do that...
    • Went to Crane's Apt. 1st - Seemed like it would be a likely place to find info, and then I went to the trip trap, so I didn't get to go to Dee's office.
    • Didn't make a deal with Jack - Didn't really trust him, he always seems to know stuff that he shouldn't.
    • Did burn down Greenleaf's tree - I feel really bad about this one, she was just trying to make some money I guess and wasn't really doing much harm. They weren't illegal, they were just wrong. I might change this one.
    • Did kill Tweedle Dum - Never liked them, they keep up too much shit. Had to off one of them to give a message. It was merely self-defense, they were trying to kill me.

Overall, it was a great episode. Very dramatic and it felt longer than usual, which is awesome.

  • Flycatcher is a major character in the comics, he's not gonna be a spy for Dee and Dum.

  • I did every thing you did
    -Did not interrupt the funeral.

    -Went to Trip Trap first.

    -Offered Flycatcher a job.

    -Burnt down the tree.

    -Killed Dum.

-Did not interrupt the funeral. Didn't want to annoy Holly or Grendel.

    -Went to Crane's Apartment first.

-Burnt down the tree. I didn't like that witch and I kinda didn't care about her + as Bigby said "Order is an order."

-Killed Dum. I wanted to send a message to a Crooked Man that I'm not fooling around.

    • Did not interrupt the funeral. I mean come on, it's disrecpectful if you interrupt it.
    • Went to Crane's Apartment first, then to the Trip Trap. Didn't go to the Tweedle's Office.
    • I was silent when Jack offered me a deal. Didn't know what to say, actually.
    • I didn't burn the tree. I was also silent, because I knew Snow was right, but I felt bad for the witch.
    • Killed Dum. I was angry as hell. I was playing the nice guy until they started to shoot me like hundred times. Then I said "That's it, you're going down "
  • I had all of the 'good' choices, other than not interrupting Snow. She stopped talking so I called her away, I thought she was done. :|

  • -Did not interrupt the funeral.

    -Went to Crane's apartment first.

    -Denied Jack's offer.

    -Burnt down the tree.

    -Killed Dum.

  • I don't think you should change it, once I make a choice, I stick with it, even if It is something I regret. Just like Bigby, I'll have to deal with it in the future.

  • edited April 2014

LOL They were having a moment of silence and you called her over?? XD

I had all of the 'good' choices, other than not interrupting Snow. She stopped talking so I called her away, I thought she was done.

  • Exactly the same choices as the OP. I need to find out what was the choice in cranes apartment.

  • edited April 2014

--Interrupt funeral, thought its important to let Snow what happend
    --Went to Crane apartment first
    --Refuse Jack offer
    --Didn't burn the tree
--Didn't kill Dum, thought i have hard time deciding kill or leave him

Probably gonna do one or two more playthrough with alternative choices

  • 1 - I did interrupt the funeral, I mean c'mon there's a killer on the loose.
2 - Went to Dee's then Crane's then Trip Trap.
3 - I didn't even think that would be a choice but yeah I said ask Snow so yeah I offered him one.
4 - Burned the tree, she was doing illegal shit and she lied to us.
    5. I saved Dum, thought he would of saved me from Bloody Mary plus I'm a sheriff meaning I only kill when I have to.

  • LOL i interrupted.. i wanted to let EVERYONE know what i had learned not just snow..
I went to Dee/Dums first. dunno kind of stupid in hindsight
Gave flycatcher a job.. he seemed cool
Didn't burn tree.. i acted aggressive to her the minute i kicked the door down.. i couldn't bring myself to do it tho
    Killed Dee.. he deserved it

What happens if you go to cranes first? does bluebeard follow

  • edited April 2014
    1. Didn't interrupt the funeral. Once I saw Snow was safe, I saw no reason to offend people just to save a few minutes.
    2. Went to the bar first. I didn't want to risk Bluebeard going over there and harassing Holly.
    3. Offered Flycatcher the job. He's once of the nicer Fables around, and I wanted to help him out.
    4. Didn't burn the tree. I felt Snow was going too far about the whole thing.
    5. Didn't kill Dum. I was very tempted, but wanted to show Snow that Bigby can control himself even under pressure.
  • Original play through

    1. Did not interrupt the funeral. I have a code, even though I risked time not finding Crane quickly, I already thought he was not the killer.
    2. I investigated Crane's apt first. I let Bluebeard go to Double D's office (I don't think Bluebeard is involved either & I thought Snow would find out the info at the Trip Trap. I was wrong).
    3. Did not make a deal with Jack. I just stole the money from the envelope and I have the wackest apartment imaginable with not food in the fridge. Plus Jack's an asshole.
    4. I did not burn the tree. Thought AG could be useful to us (somewhat similar to "Catch Me If You Can" movie), though I knew something was up when the child opened the door.
    5. Yeah I ripped Dum's neck open. He punched and shot at me. The hell with that dude.
    • Did not interrupt the funeral, who does that?
    • Went to Crane's place first.
    • Cut a deal with Jack.
    • Didn't burn the tree, she got the message.
    • Killed and spared Dum, he so deserved it, but Bigby is trying to turn over a new leaf here and it made him look ruthless so I replayed that last part and spared him, but that made me look weak, so I will play on with both of them to see which choice I liked better in the long run, all things considered Bigby's full wolf form is spectacular hehe

    • Did not interrupt the funeral. I could wait a few minutes, no harm done.

    • Went to Crane's Apartment first. That seemed a logical thing, because Crane could have been getting away, and I wanted to catch him as soon as
      possible.

    • Offered Flycatcher a job. That's an easy but lame choice, didn't really matter.

    • Did not burn the tree. I felt bad for the witch, and I decided to keep her calm in the future.

    • Killed Dum. I was going crazy on the moment, I just wanted to kill everybody! I was actually laughing during the button-mashing sequences. :D

  • "You killed my brother, prepare to die!"
    hello....

  • It felt goood killing dum am I right? That guy is an all out ass.

-Did not interrupt the funeral. -Went to Crane's apartment first. -Denied Jack's offer. -Burnt down the tree. -Killed Dum.
