What Telltale did very well this episode.
Don't get me wrong, there is a lot to enjoy this episode: the epic story progression, all the tough choices, and just how good it was overall. But above everything else, my favorite thing about the episode was how it changed MY personal Bigly.
Now I do two playthroughs for every 'choice-based' Telltale game. In my canon walkthrough (for TWAU), I try to be the nice guy, but since I am the Big Bad Wolf, I WILL do what I feel like I need to do if I have to.
In this episode, I burnt down Auntie Greenleaf's tree because she was not taking me seriously and was not doing anything to help me. But OHHHH, we threaten to burn your tree, so you tell us what we want, with me not knowing if she's telling the truth.
Though my beef was with Dee, I killed Dum knowing that it would hurt Dee, let Bloody Mary know that I'm not a push-over, AND since he was an accomplice of Mary, Crooky (my nickname for The Crooked Man) and Dee.
I have a feeling I'm going to regret these actions eventually, but in the heat of the moment, I did what I felt I needed to do.
So back to my original statement, Telltale did a GREAT job of changing the way I played. I felt pressured thanks to the time mechanic, and it got more and more intense as it went on. I never felt pressured the same way in any other episode EVER. Congrats, Telltale, and thanks for the amazing work!

Killing Dum was the hardest choice I've made, but it felt good, I just feel like If i didn't kill him he could of been useful... I also loved the trip trap, Crain's apartment, or Dee & Dum's office choice, three options now just to make things harder on us..
It didn't feel right killing Dum and leaving Dee alive, so I spared him. If I could have killed them both at once, I might have.
I agree TT did an amazing job in making you decide what kind of person Bigby is. Killing Dum was an easy choice for me. I understand the whole "I'm better than him" thing, but when these two shot three people at the funeral and fill you with bullets back in the alley, that is where I draw the line.
I heard you can kill Dee instead of Dum if you choose to run after Dee first.
I'd rather kill Dee
I'm tempted to test this now.
no i'm pretty sure you just end up throwing him at the car, and you still end up with the decision to rip dum's throat out
I'm pretty sure that's not true. I remember I replayed that scene and I got Dum even though I clicked on Dee first.
Why would you rather kill Dee? Dum beat up Toad and Toad Jr. and punched Bigby in the face. Dee hasn't done anything like that.
