  • I'm sure there will be.

Successful games are meant to have at least two seasons. Not sure why you think there won't be a second season (if not even more), but awesome Telltale games JUST CAN'T stop at five episodes.

  • I would Love to see Season 2 but i cant imagine what it could be about thats why im thinking there wont be but you can always Hope :).

@RaduBota18 Agree. I´m currently not that much of a fan of the second season of TWD (even if I hope that comes with the next episodes), so I have some concerns about that. anyone who has red the comics, would there be much more story potential? Luckily we still have 2 episodes left :)

  • If they won't make season 2 I'll be pretty disappointed :(

  • I don't think there will be, Back to the Future and Monkey Island didn't get another season. I guessing they'll focus more on TWD and Game on Thrones, that'll probably be a big hit

Unless they can produce a timeline between The ending of this season and before the events of the comics I don't think we'll be seeing a Season 2 anytime soon.

I'm loving the game so far though.

  • I'd love for there to be one, but I guess we'll have to wait and see how this one ends before we know whether they'll be able to squeeze one in or not. I hope they do though, love this series.

  • Now are you really gonna compare TWAU with the games you mentioned? This is different and it's what I meant, bro. :)

  • I think it's not impossible. Although it could be about another character not Biggby like maybe Jack or Snow White and her sister. I would love to see more characters explored. I hope that they didn't take this on just to do a one-off series and be done.

  • No it wont because this is a prequel to the game so they cant go and make up stories because that will not be acording to the comics

  • But they can lengthen it somehow. I doubt they're even currently going exactly according to the comics.

  • Apparently people misunderstood. I meant games like Monkey Island and Back to the Future that can't be compared to TWAU. Other two (TWD and GoT) are amazing, just like it, which gives an opportunity for, at least, another season.

  • actually they are going exactly according to the comics but twau is set a long time before the first issue of the comics so maybe they can squeeze another season but I highly doubt it

Aren't the comics getting their last issue sometime in 2015? At least, that's what I've heard.

Who knows what Telltale could do with that. Though, I'm yet to read the comics so I don't know how different a position Fabletown is in there than it is in TWAU's timeline. :S

  • What about a completely different story set in the same universe? It doesn't have to be a direct continuation of the story we're currently playing, in my opinion... and it definitely doesn't have to be about a murder - barely any of the Fables volumes are about a murder.

Here's a thought, we wouldn't even need to play as Bigby. Imagine playing as Cindy during WWII, focusing on spy-games and espionage and featuring Bigby in a very different role. I don't know, it's just an idea, but there's a lot they could do with this series... Plus, I'm enjoying it and I don't want it to end.

  • There was a story change, at least according to what I heard, and that's why the slide changed for E3 as well as remade E2 entirely. Not to mention multiple people claiming "isn't this supposed to happen as the comics say so", "why aren't they going accordingly" etc.

But guess we just have to wait and see.

  • its aprequel they have a contract and they cant break it unless they show some other fables story they cant continue bigbys story because its suposed to end where the comics start . Also they cant have a Snow/bigby relationship because when the comics start they arent in one also they cant show bigbys true from because the first time that happens im pretty sure is in the comics why do u think snow wasnt dead ? Because she is alive in the comics

HELL YES I WOULD HAVE MADE THIS THREAD RIGHT NOW IF NOBODY ELSE DID

I mean, i SO love this series, and the comics, and i would be just so very sad if the first season ended and there would be no other season :(

It is just SO amazing, and there are more things going on in Fabletown than murder, you know... Maybe Telltale could take us on a quest of fixing Fabletown's system, i don't know! But for me, please, Telltale, make a season 2! It is so awesome! I know we haven't even reached episode 5, but it already feels like our story is going to reach its end soon, and it makes me so sad! I would sacrifice my soul to Satan for it. I know TWD is gonna continue anyway, so there's no point in sacrificing my soul there, everyone knows it's gonna continue ( I love Clem!).

    Please.

    Pretty please.

I also know it's a bit early to think about season 2, but fuck it, there's no such thing as TOO early.

  • Ah. See, by saying IMO, you've changed the tone of your entire post from "THIS IS A FACT AND I'M RIGHT AND YOU'RE WRONG" to "This is what I think".

It's a pretty important distinction to make around this place, seeing how people can very easily take things the wrong way here, so if you could just be aware of that in future, I'd appreciate it.

  • I'd definitely like for there to be a second season as well. No idea how likely it is though, but here's hoping!

  • I don't think so. I guess Episode 5 will be when we'll discover the killer and we'll wrap up the mystery. After that, I'm not sure what TTG can do.

  • I think changing characters from one season to the next is a bad idea. I think its why s2 of TWD isnt as good as the first. At least for me. If there is a season 2, I think we should still play as Bigby.

  • I would love if there is a season 2. I would love to see more of Fabletown's underworld and see more of Snow, Fly and the others. This game is the only way for me to see the setting visually and listen to the voice of my favorite characters.

  • I disagree. The world of Fables is huge with tons of character that they can build stories on. Its not at all like the Walking Dead, which is only basically telling one story.

  • Thats exactly what Ive been saying. We dont have to play as Bigby. There are lots of characters in the Fable Universe that are just as interesting in their own ways. They could take the franchise anywhere they want.

Second episode was released on Feb 5 and 3rd on April 9th. So, I waited two months to play an hour game? Feel bit disappointed tbh not with the gameplay but the waiting period. I was hoping the gameplay would be 2 hours or more. I shouldn't have bought the season pass and waited for all episodes and then buy the GOTY edition or something. But WTH, TTG tempted me.

  • There's so much they can do. They can make a sequel to the comics, they can make a spin-off (like how the comics sometimes took place in other countries ie Arabia), there's no limitations on a story folks. The hard part is making it believable.

  • As much as I like Wolf Among Us, I really doubt they will do a second season, they've already got 2 games still to do in GOT and Borderlands and they haven't even got half way through Walking Dead season 2. I like Wolf Among Us but I definitely feel it befits a single season more than the other franchises.

  • Wolf Among Us maybe, the whole Fables Franchise, no. You do have a point though about them having other things on their plate at the moment. It's still possible but it might not be soon.

I think they could do a season 2, but since this is a prequel, the are treading on thin ice. Since some charachters appear in the comic, they can use it, but be very careful on what they do or say (they did a splendid work with Bluebeard in this case), but most of charachters that you can deal with must be found in the list of fables that don't appear in the comics.

They can't make a whole season on bigby fighting trolls.

On the other hand, they could use some charachters that never appear in the comics but are mentioned. For exaple in the comics its said that the Woodsman is a Tourist ( someone who goes around the world and deals with stranded fables).
I'd like to see a season 2 starring the Woodsman doing this job, for example.
