Grendel (Episode 3)
Why do you guys think he's helping bigby i mean he still hated him in episode 2 maybe the tweeds did something to holly hence him yelling "I'M GONNA KILL YOU" what are your guys theory's for them working together?

There's so many possibilities that I'm really not sure what to think. It has to do with Holly since she's the only one he seems to really show companionship for and gets mad whenever something concerns her like her sister. Maybe it's not really him "working" with Bigby, just being super pissed off at whatever the brothers are doing. Someone said that maybe it had to do with her sister's grave or Holly herself which makes sense.
I think that rock/shield/stick sculpture is a memorial of some kind for Holly, and the Tweedles crash the funeral to stop them from burning the body so they can collect their evidence for the crooked man. That would piss Gren off.
Not sure but I'm really beginning to regret tearing off his arm. Still though, not going to go back and fix it, feel like I should hold out on my first save in my first playthrough always.
Genius. That never came to mind...
Another possibility is that Gren makes the assumption that the Tweedles are associated with Lily's murder, since Dum can be seen in the photo of Faith, Nerissa and the third girl, who is probably Lily. Gren might learn of this when Bigby visits the Trip Trap again.
Edit: Just realised the Tweedle in the photo appears to be Dum, not Dee, and in the trailer we see Grendel attacking Dum. Coincidence?
That's a brilliant theory nice thinking.
Hey, Arrow
Yes, I was thinking about this, too. Though the comment below makes more sense to me.
I think somthing happens to Holly or it's about Lily which will cause Grendel to attack Dee and Dum.
I know this has nothing to do with the discussion but I just wanted to tell you that I like your profile pic
I would be cool to see Bigby and Gren working together.
Well, let's say you play Bigby as a nice guy. You try your best to be nice to Grendel, stop the fight as early as possible(you can stop at kicking his leg, you don't have to do it, just a neat little thing to mention), you throw Jack out of the bar(which Grendel seems to like), you're nice to Holly, oh and Bigby's also trying to catch the murderer of Holly's sister now. I think that could cause Grendel to have a change of heart. But if you're an asshole to him, perhaps the tweedles just have something to do with the murder of Holly's sister.
I don't know, something happen and everyone has been tip of the edge. Grendel must be a breaking point thro, the trailer shows him in his original forum attacking Dum and Dee, and another fight against the woodsman. maybe the fables feel they alone so they take things in their own hands since their government is not helping them. or maybe the point the finger at each other trying to find the killer, and paranoia is getting better of them.
dose anyone know who the woman in white with white hair is? in the tailer she sinks to her knees saying "you took everything from me."
I thaught she was Frau Totenkinder, but she doesn't look like her ;S
Doesn't act like her either, but I hope she and Blue Boy show up at some point, since Fly is about too. Maybe Pinocchio too.
Alot of good thoughts in hear thx for the reply guys
I think Gren is okay.Maybe he had his reasons when he fought bigby in ep 1 but hopefully he's a good guy and will help bigby
who is Frau Totenkinder? I don't read the comics. what fairy tale is she from?
Frau Totenkinder is basically every bad witch in stories, like the one from Hans and Gretel. But now she's good.. i think..
thanks for telling me.
Hi Azlyn, it has been a long time
Thanks Oh wait were you talking to Azlyn? I like her pic too.
Well now we know who she is, I was thinking that she was speaking with the killer. I was totally wrong. she says that line because of Bigby.....
You were pretty damn close, by the way.
So I haven't gotten the episode yet, what exactly happens with Gren?
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend."
Even though the quote doesn't always apply, I think Gren realizes that Bigby does want to catch the murderer now. So even if he doesn't like Bigby, working together with him is probably his best shot at finding the killer.
Yeah
i thought gren attacked because dum said "who cares its just a dead whore."
That's why I feel like killing Dum will earn Bigby some popularity with the strays and I think they will help him out now.
you want spoilers ok well... I am only giving them to you because you asked. first we see of him he is at Lilly's funeral. Dee and Dum (maybe the woodsman if you arrested him, I don't know) show up. they try to make a deal with Bigby, and things just don't go to plan. everyone at the funeral over see the twins and Bigby talking and walk over. Dee says a bad remark about Lilly, both Holly and Grendel get enraged, they go back to their original forums and attack the twins., both are shot but survive. Because Lilly doesn't want doctor swinheart (sorry I don't know how to spell his real name) to see where she live he leaves them at Holly's bar with strong pain killers.
Grendel is seen one more time. Bigby has to go to Holly's bar, to look for a lead in the murder. Grendel is there and he lets Bigby in to the bar. He is at this stage he is really drunk - he is convince because he is on the strong medicine if he combins those effects with Alcohol and stay awake he will get a "high". Bigby is given an option to share a dink with him, but it comes down a fight with Grendel and the Woodsman, they don't really like each other at this stage, but ill leave that bit out. Basically Grendel offters to help Bigby to look throu Lilly's stuff, and Bigby can say yes or no, I don't know if you can bring Grendel with you, there is a chance Grendel blackout sitting at the bar. that's the last you see of him in the episode, there is a chance to get on better turns with him by saying you hate Crane.
um lillys body was thrown down the witching well... why does this have 21 thumbs up or am i mistaken
Doesn't take a genius to work this out, I think some people are making more of a deal out of this than necessary.
During the funeral, the only reason Gren attacked is because of the 'whore' comment.
Afterwards, at the bar, the more casual approach that Gren took towards Bigby is due to the combination of tragedy (with Lily) and the fact that he was out of his head on booze. Tragedy has a way of bringing people together, but I do fully suspect that he'll be a bit more antagonistic when he sobers up, but to a lesser degree perhaps.
There's really nothing more too it than that.
.
Gren's not a bad fellow. He has his temper issues like Bigby, except that Bigby's got a slightly better control on it than Gren. I think that, at some point between episode 2 and 3, Gren kinda just gained a sense of respect for Bigby. He still hates his gut probably, but seeing that he would even tolerate exchanging shots with the Woodsman whom Gren accused of fondling with Lilly, I think he could step a few pegs down for the sheriff himself.
You must've missed that it was a prediction.
This is Grendel's voice actor Kid Beyond being amazing:
if you read the fable book the rock sculpture is a common troll memorial for the trolls that have died before them and crane threw lilys body in the witching well so there was no body........ but, i think grens finally seeing that bigbys actually trying to help. now the 2 times gren got mad were when dum called lily a whore and when he was yelling at woody for tapping lily behind hollys back or maybe im missing something you guys seen that im not connecting.......
thats cranes witch cause you burned her tree i chose not to i gave her a job close enemies are best friends in my opinion
then it'd be a wrong prediction anyway

You should really refrain from using profanity towards others, especially if it's offensive. Edit or remove this post before I'll contact the mods personally about this matter.
Regardless I don't care if I don't provide contribution, or whatever you'd consider it. It's a theory that's been debunked, so seriously sit down.
And I'm done replying to you, if you use profanity in an argument or conversation like this then you're honestly not worth it.
