Woody (Episode 3 Spoilers)

So, did anyone feel bad for Woody? I felt bad for him when Gren said those things to him and it looks in episode 4 he is going to do something, maybe he wants to take his axe back from Bloody Mary? I would love to see Bigby and Woody teaming up to take down the Crooked Man and his crew.

  • Ha, Woody and Bigby teaming. Well that'd be thrilling and hilarious simultaneously, but highly unlikely because they've been enemies since the start of all this, even according to the comics.

And actually, Woody seems like a good obscure guy, that hides a lot of shit.

  • Well, Woody did say in ep 1 that he din't want to fight Bigby anymore in the bar. Plus, Bigby will need some help cause I don't think he will manage to take down the Crooked Man and Bloody Mary on his own.

  • Idk, for a moment I felt bad for him at the end of Episode 1 because I knew they weren't going to softball him in as the killer. I've seen to many Scooby Doo episodes to fall for that.

When I get to empathizing with him to much, I remind myself he was beating on a prostitute when we first seen him this series and him sleeping with Holly's sister, who is probably his only friend other than maybe Gren, is kinda low.

  • Poor ol' Woody

    Sack of misery

  • I do feel bad for him. He's so earnest, it seems hard to believe he was beating women in the first episode. He's just a mean drunk. Gren is so mean Im surprised he has any friends.

  • I think Gren's personality changes when he drinks. He was mean to Bigby in episode 1, distrustful in 2. In episode 3 he is the exact opposite towards Bigby. Woody when drunk is mean to almost everyone, but when sober he is remorseful more than anything. I almost immediately thought Gren found out about Woody having sex with Lily. Holly would more likely want an explanation and would take it after some time, while Gren wouldn't and would be mean out of complete loyalty even if it's one sided.

  • Yeaaaah I'm with you, but I really doubt it'll happen. Besides, actions are better than words, so Woody's words really shouldn't be taken into consideration. ;)

Ok, maybe they won't join forces but I can imagine he would want to get his axe from Bloody Mary and Bigby would try to stop him from going considering it would be a suicide mission by trying to fight her, the Crooked Man and his army of thugs. Who knows, maybe depending on your actions like if you din't glass Woody and arrest him then he will help you and the same goes to the other characters cause I think in episode 4 or 5, all of our choices will matter.

  • I was very curious to know what happened to Woody's axe after episode one. When Woody disappears while Bigby talks to Faith, there's no reason to assume anyone but Woody took the axe, and later that day he's seen near the Lucky Pawn (though I don't think he was carrying the axe with him at the time), so maybe he sold it there for beer money since he's really intent on not fighting anymore. Also, the Crooked Man owns the Lucky Pawn and Mary is his hitwoman, so I think it's reasonable to believe she simply took the cool-looking axe from the pawn shop since no one else was using it.
