TWD won't open

Whenever I open the game, it crashes instantly.
I have restarted my PC, reinstalled the game, verified the game cache, made a separate library and installed the game in there and nothing has worked so far...

please help me as soon as possible, I want to get this fixed before the new episode comes out :)

    I apologize for the inconvenience. We have had a few Steam players experience this issue. Please open the Steam Client and click on Steam at the top left of the window. Then click on Settings from the drop down menu. Then under the Account menu, next to the Beta participation category, click ‘Change…’ and then click on the drop down menu, and click on ‘NONE – Opt out of all beta programs’. Then go back to your Library and start the game, and you should now be able to play with a controller plugged in.
