Season 2, Episode 2: Have the achievement, yet the game doesn't see my save

So I completed episode 2 of season 2 on March 5. Since then I had a HD fail and had to revive my data from time machine. Now when I try to play, it wants me to play episode 2 again before I start episode 3. I tried to get the save data from my time machine backups, but it didn't seem to work. Here is my TWD support tool data:

    I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you have Steam Cloud Syncing turned on? (You can check this by right clicking on the game in your Steam library, clicking properties, and click the updates tab. Near the bottom of the page, you can see if the Steam cloud is enabled for The Walking Dead: Season 2.) If it is enabled, does disabling it, and restarting Steam allow you to access your saves?

    I had Steam Cloud Syncing turned on. I turned it off, and restarted Steam, but my saves were still inaccessible.

    Looking at my achievement date (March 5) and my save dates in time machine (February 13), it looks like my game never saved. This is in regards to the files under /username/Library/Application Support/Telltale Games/The Walking Dead 2/. Am I looking in the wrong location for my save games?

    Yes, your save games for Season Two should be in ~/Library/Application Support/ Telltale Games/The Walking Dead 2/. If you have turned off Steam Cloud, can you please run the Support Tool again after turning Steam Cloud off, and then reupload the file and reply with the download link again? I should then be able to help you with your issue.

    Please rename the prefs.prop file in

    /Users/nexalacer/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/The Walking Dead Season Two/The Walking Dead 2.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/

    to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, and then restart the game, and your saves should be restored.
