Question about the Glamour thing

So for a Glamour to work you need a piece of the person and a photo? I am guessing that piece of a the person would be like a lock of hair, finger nail or tooth, something on those lines.

And the person in the glamour has to have the glamour box on them all the time? Aunty Greenleaf didn't have the Glamour thing on her when Snow and Bilgy went to her Apartment but I am guessing she is more adapt using them because she is a witch.

    Obviously a photo is needed because he/she is impersonating the fable. I gather the item helps the glamour be more authentic than without it.

    Snow's head also had no glamour box. It was in the pocked of the dumped body.

    It probably varies based on the quality of the spell and the mastery of the witch in question, but yes, Auntie Greenleaf's glamours apparently needed those two things to work. As for her own transformation, there was a picture/painting of her daughter on the wall in her apartment, and being the mother of the girl she impersonated, it's possible she was able to skip the second requirement. Half of her daughter's genes were identical to her own, after all.

    The comic doesn't give any specifics. The only ones we have seen in game where the mechanics of how they work are Greenleaf's so it could just be how hers work.

    In the game. In the comic it's never suggested that glamour actually requires a physical component to make it work.

    yeah so I guess once the glamour fails then all of the body is reeved but till then its hidden.

    Okay but do we know if the person was a witch then they can not be physically holding the glamour box? Also each with has their own way of casting Glamour? Thank you for you comment but after reading I have MORE questions.

    From what I have gathered in the comics, the official Glamour is a spell that allow most Fable to transform into a human on a moments notices.

    It potentially depends on the spell. With some it is permanent or lasts for a very long time.

    In most cases, they only seem able to transform from one form to the other, and they need to be "refreshed" on a regular basis. Beast might or might not be a special case, as he was cursed with shape-shifting and could do it gradually even before he had it adjusted so that it was under his own control, rather than subject to his wife's affection at any given time. We never see anyone in possession of a normal glamor change into intermediate forms.

    It all depends on the quality of the spell. Some wealthy non-human Fable has a very high quality glamour that doesn't fail. For those who are rather poor, they can only afford very poor quality Glamour spells. Aunty Greenleaf probably offers them a better and cheaper glamour spell.

    No such thing as a "glamour box" is ever mentioned in the comics, and I don't think we took the time to frisk Greenleaf to see if she had one on her body or not. The one we found on her desk might be one she was working on, not the one for her own glamour. There's simply no way to know.

    i mean tht all we know about black market glamour but wat about the witches from the 13th floor (i think). i mean i dont see Gren and Holly with those tube things they just kinda change when they want

    just because you don't see something doesn't mean its not there. I doubt Holly and Gren able to buy the 13th floor's spells. people were saying those were really expensive

    There is nothing which prevents them from doing so as Willingham isn't specific about how certain things work.

    As far as i know a glamour can vary from who made it and who it was cast upon. The witches on floor 13 are masters at their craft and can produce very high end glamours that looks perfect and last for a long time. they can probably also make them so the person would be able to switch back and forth at their will at a higher price (Gren and Holly switches when needed it seems). Auntie Greenleaf made the glamour by herself, and probably wasn't a master at it, since she needed a photo and a lock of hair. When we look at Lily's body we notice that it is not perfect, since she has track marks (i think they called it) that showed that she was a junkie, even though she was under glamour. Bigby is not under the effect of a glamour though.
