This is awesome that Telltale added The Jersey Devil! For some reason in the trailer it looks like someone or maybe Bigby attacked The Jersey Devil. What do you guys thinks? Will there be a fight between The Jersey Devil???? :)

    Probably. Oh I grew up hearing those stories! Never went out after dark as a kid! Hope Bigby kicks his ass!!!

    I kinda thought the same thing at first. Being from NJ, I thought the "Jersey Devil" was more of a local thing. I'm not surprised alot of people never heard of it, but if Telltale thinks it can play a role in the game, I trust them to make it interesting.

    Legends and fables are interesting no matter where you come from. I never heard of donkeyskin before The Wolf Among Us came out, but I still think Faith is a pretty interesting character.

    I'm an American and I've never been to NJ, but I've heard the story of the Jersey Devil. I'm sure there are plenty of people outside the states who have heard the story as well. Now when is the Mothman going to make an appearance?

    Since we're sharing legends, where I live there's an Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) legend that a serpent named Gaspara guards the local lake and attacks anyone who dares dive too deep.

    Interestingly, I see that Kawa the blacksmith defeated the tyrant Zahhak who killed his sons by feeding them to his serpents. Maybe Telltale could combine the legends of our two areas together in one game? ;)

    Jennifer, i would buy that game thrice and then buy copies to my friends. The legend behind Kawa is the basis to our newroz celebration. Newroz meaning a new day. Newroz is our new year celebration it is a huge ordeal.

    The Jersey Devil is a legendary creature or cryptid said to inhabit the Pine Barrens of Southern New Jersey, United States. The creature is often described as a flying biped with hooves, but there are many different variations. The common description is that of a kangaroo-like creature with the head of a goat, leathery bat-like wings, horns, small arms with clawed hands, cloven hooves and a forked tail. It has been reported to move quickly and often is described as emitting a "blood-curdling scream."[1][2]

    The Jersey Devil has worked its way into the pop culture of the area, lending its name to New Jersey's team in the National Hockey League, and appeared on an early episode of The X-Files.

    Are we sure its the Jersey Devil? Kind of thought it was a gargoyle. I found this on wikipedia.

    Legend of La Gargouille

    A French legend that sprang up around the name of St. Romanus ("Romain") (AD 631–641), the former chancellor of the Merovingian king Clotaire II who was made bishop of Rouen, relates how he delivered the country around Rouen from a monster called Gargouille or Goji. La Gargouille is said to have been the typical dragon with batlike wings, a long neck, and the ability to breathe fire from its mouth. There are multiple versions of the story, either that St. Romanus subdued the creature with a crucifix, or he captured the creature with the help of the only volunteer, a condemned man. In each, the monster is led back to Rouen and burned, but its head and neck would not burn due to being tempered by its own fire breath. The head was then mounted on the walls of the newly built church to scare off evil spirits, and used for protection.[4] In commemoration of St. Romain, the Archbishops of Rouen were granted the right to set a prisoner free on the day that the reliquary of the saint was carried in procession (see details at Rouen).
