Vivian

Am I the only one a little suspicious of her?

She's the only one of Georgie's girls who doesn't. ahem, "do the rounds" because he apparently likes her and when we burst in on The Crooked Man's room she moves from Georgie's side to stand at the back-centre of the room, rather than staying next to him where you might have expected. She's also been a relatively minor character thus far. The camera also cuts to her right before The Crooked Man in the final sequence.

Maybe I'm looking a bit too deep into this but why do I get the feeling the devil is in the detail?

  • I'm suspicious that she, of all the fables we've seen so far, is the only one whose backstory is impossible to trace based on what we know of her. Which fable is she from? Who knows? It's impossible to tell as of yet.

But I suspect when we find out, it will be meant as a surprise that makes her complicity in the Crooked Man's crimes much more obvious.

  • I've been the most suspicious of Vivian on the forums lol. She has always seemed to be involved, even before her character made an appearance. I really hope in the next episode it will reveal what story she is from.

  • I think, as she is the only other person than Bigby we've met who smokes Huff n Puffs, and they were found in Room 207, that she murdered Lilly.

I think they were doing some kind of non-sexual 'practice run' for what she had to do when Crane was there, explaining why she was in her suit and not her dress, and while she was on the bed Vivian killed her.

  • Remind me who's Vivian, please.

  • Exactly, she has had access to the books the whole time as indicated in the very first episode when Crane tells Snow to call Vivian to reschedule his "massage". She probably took that opportunity to strike. She didn't tell Lilly of the time change and waited for her to come into the room. What further fuels my speculations that she is the killer is the fact that the wine that Crane bought was also in the room.

  • Ah, but there';s a problem with that theory:

Lilly was murdered in her Suit, not her dress. But when she has sex with crane, she is wearing the dress.

This means that if Vivian tricked her, she would have been wearing the dress not the suit

At the Pudding & Pie in Episode 2:

Bigby: Listen, you could be in danger.

Vivian: Oh, sweetie... we're all in danger.

She says this in a very sinister way with an evil-looking smile on her face. http://i.imgur.com/cN1nXjI.png

This is how I know that Vivian smokes Huff n Puffs:

    1. In episode 2 she is outside the Pudding & Pie smoking. Look closely at the cigarette. http://i.imgur.com/H0vzgeO.png

    2. Inside the club there is a machine where you can purchase either Huff n Puffs, or Shorettes. This seems like where Vivian got her cigarettes from. http://i.imgur.com/4CZG6z0.png

    3. In episode 4, Nerissa grabs one of her cigarettes which just so happens to be a Shorette. See how it looks different? http://i.imgur.com/JHvOV7S.png Also, here you can see how the Huff n Puffs look and that they look similar to the cigarette that Vivian was smoking http://i.imgur.com/73mPWUv.png

    • So, adding this all up you can say with some certainty that Vivian smokes Huff n Puffs.

Also - it would make sense if Nerissa and Vivian were friends, right? They're in a somewhat similar position and especially after these murders one would think they'd be there to support eachother. But Nerissa tells you that she doesn't have any friends left. I'm thinking there's a major reason she isn't considering Vivian to be a friend of hers.

People have noticed that Vivian also says "My lips are sealed" instead of "These lips are sealed", which may be a minor slip-up from her, and supports the theory that her ribbon isn't enchanted and "just for show". Radium pointed out that Nerissa says "My lips are sealed" at the end of episode 3, so I guess this theory doesn't hold up.

  • Why would it be her? She is powerless in comparinson to all of the others of the Crooked Man's crew. She's a prostitute also so why would she be wearing the ribbon if she was the one behind this?

  • Maybe she's in 'Sheep's Clothing" because her ribbon isn't enchanted. Plus we have no idea what kind of powers she has because her backstory has yet to be revealed.
Also notice how the spell on the ribbon is "These lips are sealed" well Vivian has said "My lips are sealed" instead.

Why would it be her? She is powerless in comparinson to all of the others of the Crooked Man's crew. She's a prostitute also so why would she be wearing the ribbon if she was the one behind this?

  • At least she's got the means to kill them. She could just tell The Crooked Man to kill them, and it would already be done. As for her ribbon, I don't really think it's enchanted.

Why would it be her? She is powerless in comparinson to all of the others of the Crooked Man's crew. She's a prostitute also so why would she be wearing the ribbon if she was the one behind this?

  • I was suspicious of her ever since her appearance in Episode 3 where she insisted that Crane was the killer. She pushed just a little too hard there. I wasn't very surprised to see her in that room.

  • It's possible that the picture showing Lily having sex with Crane was taken during one of their earlier sessions. It was implied that Crane may have had numerous "visits" with Lily over an extended period of time. Maybe he wanted to go for more of an "office lady" look that day, in lieu of the classical princess costume.

  • You should add a photo of Woody smoking the Huff & Puff Bigby gives him.

  • It's also worth noting how much it's been emphasised that only bigby smokes them: Nerissa and Woody in episode 4 make very obvious comments about it, it's like the game is telling us to think about the cigarettes.

Also, Nerissa may have said that to give him a hint, as she couldn't directly tell him that Vivian was involved. That may be why she made such a specific point about it.

Is Vivian the Queen of hearts in Glamour?

Edit: God her earnings are red triangles, that's pretty close to a heart.

  • I think Hans is Vivian's accomplice. Remember Toad Jr. said he heard someone say "Stop laughing at me" while they were dumping Lily's body into the water? I think Hans said that.

  • Nope. It was Georgie. Before you enter in the Crooked Man room, you hear Jersey laughing and Georgie saying "Stop laughing at me".

  • In the end of Episode 3, Nerissa says "My lips are sealed" too.

  • I'm figuring that Vivian was the one hired to kill Faith and Lilly. I think that when Nerissa says she has no friends, she means that not only Lilly and Faith were killed, but she knows Vivian did it and despite being coworkers, she and her are no longer friends. Or if they are, they're not close anymore. Nerissa can't say anything because of the spell, obviously, but I know we can trust her because she's obviously not okay with what is going on, and probably wants to be out of the Crooked Man's ring of psychos.
