Previews are not always a good indicator of environments Telltale will use - due to the "live" Episodic development process, I imagine Telltale will sometimes rely on environments or models from previous episodes whenever they do not have content from the next episode that is ready to be displayed.

In particular, I recall the "next time on..." previews for Back to the Future used a lot of generic and/or reused environments for Episode previews, and some episode previews even had new characters talk at an off-screen angle (or as voice overs). This was before Telltale increased the budget for their titles after the success of Walking Dead though, so their newer previews are probably able to show off more content.

I had a theory that possibly Bloody Mary kidnapped her but, who knows. I guess Telltale makes you wonder on those strange events, to think about and then in the game they'll change the whole scenario.

I'm just saying it's the specifics of an episode preview that are not always safe to presume will represent the final episode.

Dialogue, cutscenes, environments, etc can all be liable to change. Some people assume this is only the case with Wolf due to an alleged rewrite, but even Walking Dead Season 1 had previews with unused dialogue/cutscenes/etc.

  • The story might change a bit so we'd better wait for episode 5.
