"Episode Not Installed" upon completion of E3

After completing Episode 3: "In Harm's Way", the save files that completed the episode show the message "Episode Not Installed".

I am able to load the affected save files, but rewinding the game a few scenes and copying over a different save file propagates the error to the next one.

I have 2 save files which have completed episodes 1 and 2, but have not completed episode 3, that appear to be intact and do not show this error message.

I've successfully verified my game's cache through Steam, and I deleted the "SyncsFs" folder from The Wolf Among Us, which I saw as a suggested fix. Neither of these steps have resolved the problem.

Please try renaming the prefs.prop file in

    D:\My Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead Season Two

to prefs.prop.bak to disable it. Then restart the game, and your saves should be restored.

  • That suggestion did not work. Thanks for the reply, TelltaleMike--any other ideas?

My apologies. If that didn't work, please try changing the prefs.prop.bak file back to prefs.prop, and then rename the prefs.prop file in

C:\Users\Jeremy\Documents\telltale games\The Walking Dead Season Two

to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, and then restart the game, and see if your saves are restored.
