i think finale is going decide how successful this game is gonna be, uptil now it has been sort of roller coaster ride, starting off with a bang and then going 6 months without a episode then coming with ep2 and it probably didnt satisfied people that much who played ep1 earlier, however TWAU fights back in ep3 with getting rates of 9 and above from major websites. EP 4 had sort of mixed reviews now it all comes down to ending this game with a best finale possible and telltale knows they cant afford to mess up here or game probably wont do that well. A lot of people are just waiting for whole game to be release so they can buy it and they are influenced by reviews so best ep5 = good reviews = more sell = profit = telltale happy
I think the finale is going to dictate ho successful this game will be. Until now, it has been a roller coaster ride, starting with a bang and then having a 6 month gap, followed by episode 2. Episode 2 probably did not satisfy fans compared to episode 1, however they bounced back, with episode 3 scroing 9 and above from major gaming reviewers. Episode 4 got mixed reviews, and now it all comes down to ending this game with the best finale possible. Telltale knows they can't screw up here or the game probably won't sell very well. (e.g. the disk version.) A lot of people are just waiting for the whole game to be released so they can buy it, and they are influenced by reviewers, so If the Finale is great, then it will garner good reviews, which will encourage potential buyers, which will increase the sales, which will increase Telltale's proft, which will satisfy Telltale.

Is not release times for TFTB & GoT important in this equation? TTG released 2 episodes in a calendar month but I doubt they would do it again with a new title. I think I heard September release from Borderlands, so if that's true I would expect TWAU ep 5 in late July. All we can hope for is loose ends being finalized (especially if its the end of the series) or if some interesting finale that spawns excitement for a new season.
Didn't they say at one point that all episodes for TWAU would be released before summer? We have over a week left until then, so it still may be possible.

anyone else notice how the 4th episode in TTG series is always the "weakest" entry?
I thought episode 4 was good but I really hope episode 5 ends it with a bang.
The guys over at VGB seem to think that episode 5 will be released around July 15th going off how long each episode has taken so far. This is just speculation but it seems like a good estimate and close enough for us to hope it's true.

What I want from Episode 5 is for it to be long (2 hours maybe?), close up loose ends, have your choices bite you in the butt (in a good or bad way), an amazing finale battle, and more on the relationship with Snow. I really wasn't so hot on Episode 4, but I believe TellTale will deliver an awesome finale.

True. There's no wrong ways to play these games.
Don't get me wrong, I think Episode 4 was great, it just seemed less than compared to the other episodes. You make some good points!
Im pretty sure there isn't a "bad way", there isn't a wrong choices so...
And now people, STFU about that 90 minute, at least things happens and no pointless dragging.
It may not mean anything, but if you look up the Trophies for TWAU (PS3) on a PS4, a very small (0.3%) group of players have the E5 Trophies and the Platinum. Testing ongoing?
I'm just putting this out there, I don't get why episode 4 has such a polarized response from fans.
Yes, the series as a whole is considerably less interactive than I would have liked. Yes, choices are even more meaningless than they ultimately were in TWD S1. Yes, the plot does appear to have been changed or reworked in that massive gap between episode 1 and 2.
But I really loved episode 3 and 4 because they were fun and some fantastic character interaction for Bigby and the rest of the cast and they had a sense of excitement and urgency that really made the whole thing a thrill to play.
Plus episode 4 has the real sense that we're wrapping up a lot of the character arcs that have been playing out over the season, given that we got to confront beauty and the beast and we got to check in with Colin, Toad, the woodsman and Jack.
I would love to check in one final time with every one of these characters in the final episode, but I would be perfectly satisfied if this is the last we see of Toad, Colin and the Woodsman (Woody in particular feels like his story is mostly done).
For my money, episode 2 is the only bad one of the group and when I say bad, I mean I think in hindsight that episode really was terrible. In episode 2, the character interaction felt incredibly off, the plot felt directionless and that bizarre sequence in Georgie's club ("Oh you're not going to smash in me nice table are you Bigby? Oh you totally are. Well don't even think of smashin' in me nice new telly") seemed to go on forever without amounting to much of anything. The gratuitous nudity was the wrong kind of weird too.
The length of the episodes doesn't really bother me either, mostly because even though an episode may amount to only 90 minutes, I think it's very easy to bleed that out over multiple sessions to really to get the most out of every scene.
So in my opinion, episode 5 will by nature put a final stamp on whether the series as whole is worth while but I'll be perfectly happy with what I've played even if it's a bomb of an episode (But please Telltale! Bring it all home in the finale!).
I understand, but I often find that when your grammar is even slightly incorrect, people will take you much less seriously. To quote Eddie: "Don't look at me like that. I'm not being an a#&hole, I'm being smart."
sorry if I came off as a self-important jerk who was trying to tell you how to run your life. I just wanted to help.

I assumed he just thought it was bittersweet the series was over. However, I did think back to Lee's actor mentioning he cried during Episod… moree 105 recording when I first saw that. Hmm, interesting.
Although other Telltale series killed off some notable characters here and there, Walking Dead has so far been the only notable series to kill off characters left and right (unless you count the final episode of one of Telltale's last "true" point and click games). Obviously, I'd imagine Game of Thrones will kill characters often too, but I'd say the constant killing of characters is more related to Telltale being faithful to the source material for their games, as opposed to Telltale arbitrarily killing characters for drama.
I'm just putting this out there, I don't get why episode 4 has such a polarized response from fans.

I just have a feeling that episode 5 will have one of the most difficult moral choices we've faced througout the game. Possibly the choices the player has made throughout the game eliminates possible outcomes, but I think the ending will be bittersweet. You can do the right thing for one character, but will be the wrong for the other. Im excited to see how Telltale will draw out the conclusion.
true that truly loved the whole world of fables with this game and big up to bigby on my legends list next 2 lee, clem, big boss, shepard and many more good job TTG

And that's something to brag about/ be proud of how?
If you were 8 and you were playing a violent video game rated 13+ or 17+, then that wasn't only illegal but it was also an oversight on the part of your guardians/ parents.
Considering the number of downvotes PerttuLaulaa has received (and I might receive), it appears most people here are either underaged, who are just mad about being told not to play a videogame, or are mature people who feel that videogame ratings are stupid, and it's fine for underaged people to play games rated M.
Regardless of your opinions, as Bigby says in the game, the law is there for a reason, even if you don't understand or appreciate it.
A 16 year old should enjoy everything they can within limit of reason and legality. While playing a game meant for people older than you is certainly not akin to a grievous criminal offense, it is still incorrect.
Next people will be saying it's fine for minors to watch porno. It's a short step from disrespecting the set norms to going too far and actively flouting something you shouldn't.
Hurry up... I will probably get GoT but Borderlands 2 sucked in my opinion. It wasn't bad but at the same time it was. Luckily it was £7 on PSS. No way I would buy that again full price, the jokes are unfunny and the gameplay has CoD all over it.
True, like the "What Big Eyes You Have" in Episode 3 had Nerissa looking dead. And the whole Detective Branigan could have been really interesting, maybe TellTale will bring back Branigan in episode 5.

The rumor is that the original plot wasn't too faithful to the comics; the NYPD was suposed to have more involvment (the detective on the slide proves it), Bluebeard was supposed to, at least temporarily, be the command (episode 4 slide and episode 3's preview suggests it) and Episode 2 preview was tottally different from the actual episode.
I'm not even going to mention the weird achievments....

I'll give it til' the last week of June.

that would put us at another 2 weeks after TWD release if Amid the Ruins comes out July 1st so it IS possible.
This is great, school is over now i can wait for the next episode of TWD and TWAU without any distractions!
Aren't you too young to play these games?
25
Of course, there's always people like you that try to make pointless assumptions. Give it up.
Only cause i can. no disrespect.

No.
Good thing that Wolf suffers less from this, though.
So a 16 year old person shouldn't enjoy a game with a great story, a good mistery and fighting in it? I would certainly enjoy it if I had that age.

Bigby isnt dead in the comics. So if he does it's not faithful to the source material.
I agree with you, Ep.2 was waaaay worse than episode 4

Been playing violent video games since I was 8
I agree 100%. I'm so excited! The Wolf Among Us is my favorite series done by TellTale so far, and I believe they will deliver a great conclusion.
Updates and updates from Steam... I think we could even get Cry Wolf before the next episode of WD, at this rate. Now, when will it be classified?
And that's something to brag about/ be proud of how?

Does anyone know why TellTale delayed episode 2 for so long?
No one does, the popular theory is a rewrite because a lot of the achievements don't match the scenarios.
True, like the "What Big Eyes You Have" in Episode 3 had Nerissa looking dead. And the whole Detective Branigan could have been really interesting, maybe TellTale will bring back Branigan in episode 5.
The thing is, I don't care about that particular law.
