I apologize for the inconvenience. The 'Storage Device Error' was caused by having your save files at the full capacity. (save file capacity, not save slot capacity) At this time, the only way to stop the storage device error on Xbox 360 is to delete your save data from a particular save slot. Below are a couple different ways to do this:
You should then be able to create new save data in Season One. Again, my sincerest apologies for any inconveniences this causes.
The 'Storage Device Error' was caused by having your save files at the full capacity.
No it wasn't.
If it were the why did I get the Storage Device Lost error after completely wiping every trace of the game from my 360 (game, updates, and saves) and then reinstalling?
This should have resolved your issue. Can you please clarify if you also cleared your system cache? You can find out how using this link:
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-360/system/clear-system-cache
After doing this, please make sure that all files associated with The Walking Dead have been successfully deleted from your system before re-downloading the game.
System cache was cleared. Thank you for the link I'm sure it will help other people.
As I mentioned before I completely wiped every trace of the game from my console.
Yet I reach episode 2 where the person revives (trying to avoid spoilers) and 'Storage Device Lost.'
I've had this problem for a long time, I think it was the thing I first posted about on this forum.
Unfortunately that is the known workaround for this issue. If you are still experiencing it, can you please clarify what model xbox 360 you are currently using, what size the hard drive is, and how much space you have left on it?
Sorry for the late reply.
If you'd like to see the data you requested I'm sure you can find it in my posting history. It was made around a year ago when I was first suffering this problem, and where I first did the troubleshooting steps I described above.
Part of the reason this reply took so long was that I not long after posting previously,I sold my Xbox 360. Suffice to say though the issue was still occurring days before.
Fortunately I also own season one on the PS3 and PC, where I am thankful to say that I've never had a problem with the game.
This issue was only known to occur on Xbox 360 with The Walking Dead: Season One. I apologize, and hope you are able to enjoy the game on the other platforms!
