He didn't serve as such, he independently hunted Axis troops and disrupted their operations to the best of his ability, and assisted the Allied Forces more or less indirectly. And guns don't complement his own abilities in the slightest, the only reason he'd ever want to use one himself would be for infiltration purposes, and he'd kind of suck at that in any case.
You're right that they didn't technically break canon the way I thought, but I still doubt that he mentally differentiates between "firefight" and "me being shot at without returning fire with a gun of my own".

* Why was Faith murdered?
* Who is the killer?
* What's Vivian's story?
* What will happen between Bigby and Snow?
* What will possibly happen to Crane?
Thinking the same thing. Thought maybe she lent it to Lily so she could have her thing with Woody and not be seen, but it wouldn't explain the letter we found.
A question that has been nagging me throughout the series - why was Faith’s coat apparently left at the Woodman’s apartment. It seems so no… morensensical on its face it ought to have a good reason.
* They were experiencing a record heat wave, thus no need for a normal coat that night
* Why would you leave this valuable heirloom in the apartment of the man who just assaulted you
Where is Pixel,the cat?
The last scene should be bigby walking down the street... Seeing someone removing the posters from the wall. Bigby turns to her/him and sees pixel in there arm
Happy End

He was shot at by submachine guns in the war, so since he didn't consider that a gunfight he does know the difference.
Good point.
well the last two won't happen until the comics so yea

Who set up Crane? What was stolen from Faith's jewelry box? Is the timeline presented for the murders exactly the way it happened?
where was there a cat?
