Monkey Island pre-order. (PayPal problems)

First off: thank you so much for Monkey Island episodes.

I pre-ordered the series straight away and paid through PayPal. However, although I received a PayPal confirmation email, I didn't get one from Telltale, and the episodes have not appeared on My Games page.

    I just pre-ordered Monkey Island using Paypal. Now i've had confirmation from Paypal that the transaction has been a success but no e-mail from Telltale or no update to my games list.

    Is this normal or should it have been updated?

    Hi guys, this is a known issue we're currently working on. Anyone who bought Tales of Monkey Island through Paypal but do not see the games in their account should email the details to support@telltalegames.com. Thanks!

    They had the same ordeal with WaG and it was back up the next day. Those of us that paid will get it added to our account won't we?

    Did send an E-Mail too, but no confirmation E-Mail yet. I really hope that problem gets resolved, i will not have paid for nothing.

    So, I know this has been covered in a couple of threads, but I thought it best to give this thing its own thread.

    So, I just got the email telling me that you guys are doing Monkey Island episodes. Trust me, I practically spazzed out when I saw that. Unfortunately, it appears Paypal's been disabled. So to the Marketing Team: Do you know if Paypal support will be available before the Preorder time ends? I really want to get my hands on the Plunder Pack. D:

    Same here, no confirmation, but we have our Paypal receipt as proof of payment, so it should get sorted.

    I got a reply, said they're having PayPal problems and is in the process of being sorted within 1-3 days. Hopefully we don't miss out on any exclusive forum goodies.

    Hmm, still had nothing, but have had problems everytime I've tried to contact Telltale support. Thanks for the info mate.

    It stated that it would be back "shortly" yet I was just curious as to how long that would be(if anyone knows)?

    I second that question, I really want that Monkey Island deal yet I have no credit card and thus cannot order it without PayPal :(

    Barely a day, I suspect. It would seem some were experiencing issues with their Tales Of Monkey Island orders and not receiving confirmation emails from either PayPal or Tell Tale; so the feature was presumably disabled until the issue was addressed.

    I am in the same boat here, I have no credit cards anymore so Paypal is my only option. I really really want to get in on this pre order deal but without Paypal support it looks like I am up a crick.

    Hey guys, thanks a lot for your patience. I'm currently working on a solution to the Paypal issue that will hopefully allow us to continue to accept Paypal without weird problems with serial numbers and orders not being set to 'complete' in spite of the fact that all the previous Paypal transactions were successful (I won't get into it, but essentially Paypal is bombarding us with data and it's messing up our system which was never meant to cope with this type of thing). Hopefully it will be fixed some time this week, my goal is to have it fixed today, but you never know with these things.

    Again, sorry for the problems and thanks a ton for your patience but hopefully it will be a thing of the past very soon!

    Hey guys, Paypal is up and working again! We had to change the system slightly to account for potential insanity, so now there could be up to 60 seconds of lag between you sending money via Paypal and you getting your order confirmation and serial numbers. However, nobody will have their order sitting in limbo or be without serial numbers or anything like that any more (or ever again).

    I've contacted your support and then got the episodes of MI in my games list.
    So far, so good. But i have still no confirmation mail and still no free episode code which I would love to use.
    Your support knows about the problem, but I thought maybe its faster this way. :D ;)

    I ordered about 6 hours ago. No confirmation from Telltale until now.

    I hope it is because you are not yet at work.

    I have the exact same problem - i too have contacted the support, but no confirmation email yet or even a mail from the support staff.
    The wierd thing is: i have the Game in My Games List and i have the Private Pirates Club visible without ever getting the confirmation E-Mail.

    Must have been some really busy days for you at telltale after the TOMI Announcement, i hope everything gets resolved and nobody will be left in limbo.
    (Friend of mine pre-ordered TOMI and bought Wallace and Gromit in the same purchase, he got his confirmation e-mail and Private Pirates Club link but TOMI is not listed in his Games List and he does not see the Private Pirates Club Section, when he clicks the link in the mail he gets send to his Games List - Wallace and Gromit is listed though in his Games List - His Nick is DerHelm i think)

    I must say that I got an answer from the support and I can visit the secret forum, too.
    According the mail he said: "As for the confirmation mail, sit tight. We're getting all this madness under control and should be sending out a confirmation email within the next day or so." That was yesterday and still no mail, but I'm patient. Hey, I mean Monkey Island is back :D

    I pre-ordered the 4th through PayPal, and got a confirmation from TTG 2 mins later. So I think everything is working fine and dandy again :)

    Hi, new here! This is a rather general question: Is it possible to purchase this via direct debit?

    I've never actually used my PayPal account, but there's a reason for this. Some time ago I hooked up and wanted to transfer some money to someone via bank transfer. Initiated the transfer, wrote down the numbers as shown, took the cheque to the bank and..... the money never arrived. PayPal says my account is ready for direct debit though. What could go possibly wrong with that? You make a few clicks and you're done.

    Also, if somebody knows a way to transfer money to somebody's account via this or an option other than bank transfer I'd be grateful.

    Ok... I preordered via paypal on the 3th of june, and reading the previous posts, i understand that the games (and the other fine online goodies associated with preorder) should have been in my games lists for a long time by now... Having been at work since then, i noticed only today that maybe i should do something. Have I got to send an email to telltale's support service or will this post suffice? Thanks in advance.

    jn1978, it looks like we resent your confirmation email yesterday - did you get it this time?

    PayPal should be working normally now. If anyone else has a problem ordering with PayPal, or if you already ordered with PayPal but never received a confirmation email, please send an email to support@telltalegames.com to let us know. Thanks!
