The crooked man:Guilty or not?

So what did you think about him? He was pretty suspicious, but i wasn't really sure if he was guilty of anything, didn't really have the evidence to prove anything. Just want to hear your opinion on this matter.

In my opinion, he was guilty. Yes, he did help those out that needed his assistance and I get it. But he still used fear and control to get what he wanted. Her took those that were is desperate need of help and used it to his advantage. He 'twisted' it all and made a sick business out of it. I PERSONALLY wish I had stabbed him instead of Georgie.

Yeah, i didn't want Georgie to die. Felt sorry for him at the end.

  • Actually, I don´t want to commit myself :) ..just like you said no evidence at all (think he had a big hand in it ...theres gotta be more though!)

Even though there wasn't concrete evidence to prove he was guilty, I still think he was. He was too shady imo,
although I had a sliver of a doubt when he went on to say everyone was like rats scurrying from one thing to the other (something along those lines).

  • I kinda liked Geogie ...a great character...my eyes got a little wet there for a moment :´(

  • I think Georgie was telling the truth when he said he was ordered to kill Faith & Lily. Everyone who works for the Crooked Man is scared of him, and presumably they wouldn't be if he wasn't capable of ruthlessness. Even Auntie Greenleaf was reluctant to get on his bad side.

  • Well, since Nerissa outright admitted to lying about hearing him order the deaths of Faith and Lily, I'm more inclined to believe that he didn't actually do that. He did, however, do all the other nasty things on his list and still deserved going down the Well, so yeah.

Georgie mentions himself that he got the orders and explicitly wanted the Crooked man to pay on his dying breath, so I'm inclined to believe him. Plus, due to Georgie being close to Vivienne, I would assume he wouldn't have done it at least for her sake without going on Crooked man's orders. Also, he was still guilty of everything else such as slavery, attempted murder, etc.

  • Whether or not he was guilty, he still threatened me more than once, caused my insides to erupt with a silver bullet, turned his henchmen and Bloody Mary on me, and held a gun to my head. I would have him killed either way. :P

  • This. He was just kind of an overall douchebag, tbh.
