"Long live the Queen"

Simple enough, Bloody Mary says this at the end of Episode 3, but who's she referring to? Her boss the Crooked Man isn't a queen. Found it weird she even said this, was it just their to complicate things?

  • I always considered it a snide jab at Snow White.

  • Long live myself?

I always thought she was reffering to herself as the ''Queen''. I could be wrong though.

  • Oh, the red queen....I like it on so many levels.

  • "Bloody Mary" was the nickname for the brutal Mary, Queen of Scots, if my memory serves me right. The story of "Bloody Mary" comes from the "ritual" of summoning her ghost via use of a mirror, for whatever reason. Mary was referring to herself, the Fable incarnation of Mary Queen of Scots.

I think i figured it out.
Bloody Mary's legend begun in middle ages with Queen Mary I. When she was the queen she executed many protestants that they gave her that nickname. After that in her palace people began too se her in mirrors as a ghost. Maybe she is refering to that?
