But if she is dead...what about Swineheart?
I seriously think everyone forgot about him, possibly the most important piece of dialogue in the whole game for me was Snow saying, "He still wants to run more tests." (That may not be exact) back in earlier episodes.
Of the two times I was with Swineheart, I was waiting for the dialogue option of, "How are those tests going?". We still don't know anything, it's like he is just neglecting to mention it. Yet, Bigby's whole motive was to sort of 'avenge' or figure out what is going on with the death of Faith and Lily.
Maybe Swineheart is part of the bigger picture as well? Just putting it out there...
Also, I thought it a bit fishy in Ep. 5 when a character (whom I won't name for spoilers), i hurt, and when directed to Swineheart, refuses because Swineheart doesn't want to have anything to do with them.
Wait...so he doesn't want anything to do with the case? Or the people? He IS Fabletown's doctor.
Which then brings on one more question...Lily is down the Witching Well, but where is Faith's body? If her head is at Swinehearts?
But if she is dead...what about Swineheart?

Man why is everyone so confused? It's obvious what happened, we never met Faith. In the beginning it's only Nerissa glamoured to wake his interest in the case and in Faith. She made it pretty clear that they were "invisible" to everyone and nobody would have cared. She said to Bigby "you are not as bad as everyone says you are" to just make him understand.
I don't know if I was the first, but I was someone who mentioned the 'Nerissa is Faith' theory.
Anyway, I've not got much time to spend on debating this in all honesty. However, while I think it will be the same and thus a waste of time (as choices don't matter that much in the grand scheme of things, meaning little difference in how things play out), one thing people could try is playing episode 1 again from the start. Rather than give the money to Faith, keep it and see if she can pay Georgie in episode 2 in order to get the key for you, rather than fronting her the cash.
Again, I think it'd be a waste of time trying this, as she likely will. But still, it might turn up something.
Well I wouldn't say that Faith being described as deceased does mean that she is really dead. It could simply mean that from the point of view of people like Snow or Bigby there is no evidence the head was glamoured to look like Faith's therefore they believe she was murdered. And since the ending of the game arrives so quickly there is simply just a little bit of time left for Bigby to start thinking about the whole thing but not enough to change Faith's status to unknown. (hope you understand what I mean) And although in my opinion Nerissa being glamoured as Faith in the beginning of episode 1 makes perfect sense I somehow hope that it is truly the other way around because I liked Faith a lot
I was in the "Faith is glamoured as Nerissa" crowd until I saw the final statistics at the end of the game have "Deceased" over Faith's picture. This confirms that Nerissa had to of been Faith in the beginning of Episode 1.
It's not like that. The way it seems is that Nerissa was glamoured as Faith in the beginning of Episode 1 because she wanted to purposely st… moreart a conflict that would get Bigby's attention and get him to be attracted to Faith(who was already dead). That way, when Nerissa later placed Faith's head on his doorstep, Bigby would take it personally and not dismiss the case so easily. To add to this, throughout the game, there are dialog options that stress that he's doing everything for Faith(and another time for Lily).
So maybe in the end, Bigby could confront Nerissa because he realized what she did and was mad that she manipulated his emotions like that to only save herself. But the option to not go after her was probably better, because in the end, everything was for avenging the girls while also taking down The Crooked Man once and for all. And since Nerissa was leaving, he doesn't need to worry about anymore escapades from her again.
That's what I was thinking. I saw that and I just thought it meant from Bigby's perspective. & Your right about the ending arriving and hitting hard and fast. It took me around 5 minutes to wrap my head around everything Bigby was remembering. I like both Faith and Nerissa a lot, but I don't know if we should trust them.

I honestly have no idea which theory is true and which isn't. I'm partial to the idea that we never met Faith and that it was Nerissa the whole time, but I do have my doubts.
The voice-over bit in the end, especially the 'bla bla donkey skin to hide her beauty and flee the kingdom', makes me think that it really was Faith glamoured as Nerissa walking away from Bigby. At the same time, if it really was Faith and she glamoured Nerissa's head as hers, wouldn't the glamour have worn off at some point? Swineheart would have found out sooner rather than later.
Very confused. For now I'll keep to the 'It was Nerissa all along' theory, however. Because I like her.
In the first scene, i immediatly liked Faith. So i was very disapointed when i saw she was dead. I'm happy to see that she is actually alive now (i like the theory that says Nerissa was all along Faith glamoured).
I hope we will have some answers one day !
I think in the first episode bigby met real faith. After this meeting georgie killed nerissa and lily. As nerissa died faith glamoured herself as nerissa and she glamoured nerissa as herself so bigby would take this personal and investigate. So she put the head to the doorstep. In the first episode Snow said they were investigating more of the body of faith so it was glamoured.
The other theory of nerissa being faith makes no sense at all. Why should narissa glamour herself as faith in the first episode. And if she didn't then she wouldn't know what she told to bigby and all theory colapse.
One other thing that just occurred to me, after thinking about Nerissa's words at the end, though it's not exactly related and perhaps off-topic.
You know how she said she put the head on his doorstep and such? I think it just gave even more significance to the game's name, The Wolf Among Us, because it refers to Bigby and we know he's not too trusted or liked, and it's centered around how we'll play him. But someone saw good in him and that ties some of the game's themes together. This also gives more significance to the first episode's title as well, as Nerissa placed her faith in him, though sure, you could argue it was simply named 'Faith' because Faith's murder is what triggered the investigation. Also, another common theme is about having faith that things will get better, in my view. Giving people the chance to do better.
Any case, if what I said is true and others agree, it's what art is about. And I realise I could be stating something that's obvious to everyone else.
You know... I think Bigby's knowledge of Faith stems further back to their lives in the Homelands, as Faith said in EP1 "We all sort of knew each other at one point or another..." Also, when Faith and Bigby were talking outside of the apartment building and he joked about arresting her for putting an axe in Woody's head she told him that shes "not going to be doing this for much longer.. so now's your chance." In my opinion she could either mean she's not going to be doing that job for much longer or it could me that she's not going be glamoured to look like that for much longer... Then, in EP5, you hear Bufkin, from a previous EP/Bigby's flashback, commenting that Faith "Would hide her beauty, so she could escape the kingdom."
That last statement by Bufkin kind of gives me the indication that Faith "COULD BE" glamoured to look like Narissa.
As far as Dr. Swineheart goes, my question is why didn't he tell Bigby and Snow about his discovery? (If indeed Narissa was glamoured to be Faith.)
In hindsight, the whole thing basically gave off the indication that "Narissa" isn't who she say she is or who she gives herself off to be... So, yeah.
I don't think we should trust them either but after going through the game about five times in order to play it so that every decision I'd make would please Snow White and she wouldn't even praise me or dare give me a hug in the end I figured I'd go with Faith/Nerissa I just think Snow could have been at least a little bit nicer to Bigby after all he's been through for her and the community (I even burnt the fuckin tree and had to endure the anger and sadness of Greenleaf and I couldn't really sleep after that ).
That's what I was thinking. I saw that and I just thought it meant from Bigby's perspective. & Your right about the ending arriving and … morehitting hard and fast. There's one thing that doesnt make sense to me. In the begining Faith is hit by Woodsman and it left a bruise on her cheek. We can see the same bruise on the head that we see on the doorstep. We can't see it on Nerissa and i don't think it would heal in one night. Soo in the begining it couldn't be Nerissa.

In the beginning I don't see any reason why narissa would glamour herself as faith. And mirror can't find faith's body because of powerful magic. I think it had magic because faith didn't want it to be found so that they couldn't find the glamour.
But you're saying the other theory doesn't make sense because you think we met the real Faith. What I'm saying is that it was Nerissa all along, even in the beginning.
When Lily glamoured as Snow, they mentioned a cheap glamour - it didnt change everything, this could be the case? But instead of cheap it was an expensive one?

Both Snow and Crane (ironically) seemed to take the fact that a Fable’s head that was deposited on the Woodland’s steps quite seriously. I would think that Nerissa disguising herself as the murder victim would only serve to recklessly endanger her, both with her interaction with Woody and by revealing her presence to Crookedman’s crew. I don’t think it would be worth the risk.
It seems to me that Faith was the most daring of the trio, through her act of brazenly and successfully stealing the photo. It appears that she had all the skills necessary (from her history and recent actions) to surreptitiously assist Bigby in his investigation. While Nerissa appears from her action of revealing their plot meek and adverse to risk.
But expensive glamours are only provided by the 13th floor.I don't think witches would provide glamour for one of Pudding and Pie girl's. But if they did they would've said something about it to Bigby when he was on the case then.
When Lily glamoured as Snow, they mentioned a cheap glamour - it didnt change everything, this could be the case? But instead of cheap it was an expensive one?
The game basically TELLS you that FAITH was glamoured as Nerissa! It's Faith's fable!!! She relived her fable!!! Faith disguised herself as Nerissa in order to escape the Crooked Man's empire because Georgie thinks that he killed her, when he had actually killed Nerissa because they were trading shifts. The game even says that they sometimes trade shifts. In her Fable, Faith disguises herself as a donkey to get out of her father's kingdom.
I'd really like to support this, but one huge hole is poking - if Nerissa was at Woodsman's place and SHE got beat up, why the hell did Faith's head had the same bruises ?
It's not like that. The way it seems is that Nerissa was glamoured as Faith in the beginning of Episode 1 because she wanted to purposely st… moreart a conflict that would get Bigby's attention and get him to be attracted to Faith(who was already dead). And since Nerissa was leaving, he doesn't need to worry about anymore escapades from her again.
Nerissa sure is either a very sweet victim that accidentally got involved with the wrong people. Or Nerissa is a very effective mastermind who for motives unknown manipulated not only Bigby but also the entire Fabletown community.
First let's try to get to the fact with the things we know:
There were 2 murders (unless you've murdered a few more Fables as Bigby... no one is perfect).
The first Victim is either Faith or someone else glamoured as Faith, as we did have only the head , not the body and were not able to get the result from the autopsy.
Additionally we know that even if the head is severed the glamour holds if the trinket/charm is with the body as we see it for the second victim)
The second victim is Lilly the ogre who was glamoured as Snow white at the time of death.
The magic mirror refuses to show us Faith.
the magic mirror never shows us Nerissa.
Nerissa refuses to remove her ribbon after Vivian's death.
Then things we do not know at this point:
Why was Faith murdered.
Why was Lily murdered.
when was Faith murdered.
Who was with Lily when she was murdered.
Who murdered Faith.
who murdered Lilly.
If Faith was already dead when chapter one starts.
Which of the victims was killed first.
The crooked man involvement in the murders.
Georgie involvement in the murders (despite the witnesses and himself admitting it he is not very sharp and could have been manipulated as well or simply be lying for other motives).
Whether Nerissa is who she claims to be.
things that we can suspect although we do not have any evidence.
-Nerissa brought victim number one's head to the Woodlands (she admits it)
-Nerissa is lying about seeing the Croocked man ordering Georgie to murder of both Faith and Lilly (she admits it).
-Nerissa is charmed as Faith at the beginning of chapter one at the woodman's apartment.
-Nerissa is Lying about her involvement in the murders.
-Vivian is the original girl with the ribbon (she says it and does not have any obvious reason to lie).
-Gerogie killed both victims
-Twiddledee and Tweedledum got rid of lily's body and TJ saw them.
Main plausible theories:
Evil Faith (the one I go for):
Faith steals the photo of Crane and blackmails the Crooked man.
Crooked Man orders Georgie to dispose of Lilly to erase proof and Faith for blackmailing him which Nerissa finds out.
The sweet Nerissa tells Faith that Georgie killed lily and that he is going to kill her.
Faith has Nerissa glamoured as herself and killed by Georgie in her place. Either by manipulating/threatning/fighting with Nerissa.
Faith is herself at the Beginning of the Story.
Faith involves Bigby by posing Nerissa's glamoured head at the woodlands.
From that point on she assumes Nerissa's identity (remember "Nerissa's story never had a happy ending.") and makes sure bibgy goes in the direction she wants him to go.
She is still glamoured as Nerissa at the end of Season1 and got her revenge on the crooked man and georgie.
Mastermind Nerissa:
Nerissa glamours herself as faith steals the photo of Crane then blackmails the Crooked man. Or it is actually Faith who has that Birlliant idea on her own.
Crooked Man orders Georgie to dispose of Lilly to erase proof and faith for blackmailing him.
Nerissa uses that opportunity to involve Bibgy and there fore has herself charmed as Faith when the story begins to get his attention.
Later that Night Nerissa drops the glamour and leaves Faith's head at the woodland.
And you know the rest of the story.
About the Ribbon:
she does not take it but there must be a reason for it.
-I do not believe it is because of a sentimental reason.
-I do not believe it is because it is glamour(Lily had no issues removing her clothes when she was glamoured as Snow White)
Possible theories:
-she is still under the ribbon spell and would die if she removes it. Trouble is if the ribbon is working she should not be able to accuse the crooked man like she does in chapter 5:
So ..her ribbon is different from the other girls => she is the original ribbon girl or the original ribbon girl is not dead (and was not vivian) or let you imagination go wild there is really no hint as to why is that that I can figure....
She's still under the spell of the ribbon, after all, so what use would it be to give him the pictures if that's the extent of the help she … morecould give? All it would do is make Bigby start questioning the girls at the club, and they couldn't really help at all. It was better to have him start looking for a killer rather than a useless witness who can't say anything.
If fake Nerissa had left the clue there that she was working against the Crooked Man, it would only make Georgie more suspicious of her since Bigby having the evidence would pretty much confirm that there is a traitor among them. Fake Nerissa wants to protect herself. At least having Bigby think that it was a message from the killer instead of help from a traitor within wouldn't set off any "There is a traitor among us!" bells within Crooked Man's crew.
Besides, weren't the pictures on Lilly? I don't think Faith had access to them at the time.
Like Buffkin said, it's in Fa… [view original content]
i think it would have been a much better ending if they just let faith be faith and nerissa be nerissa it would have made more sence at least or they should have atleast explained it how can they do this to us its mental torture. they better be planning to give us answers because this is killing me. there isn't a scrap of evidense that confirms any of these theories their all just speculations.
I hope if there is an explanation it comes in the form of a DLC where we actually play as Faith/Nerissa (whoever it finally was) and it goes through how she did things like procured and deposited Faith’s head upon the Woodland’s steps.

Yeah, the bruises kinda throws the theory off, but maybe, Faith's real head had bruises and Nerissa's glamour just included them? Remember, Faith only tells Bigby that the Woodsman, "slapped me around for awhile" and not that he beat on her. I thought that you get bruises from punches and not slaps...
I don't know. Maybe I'm overthinking this and my entire theory is wrong. Maybe Nerissa's similarities to Faith was all just coincidental and Telltale is fooling us just like they did with the orange haired guy, Cryer.
I'd really like to support this, but one huge hole is poking - if Nerissa was at Woodsman's place and SHE got beat up, why the hell did Faith's head had the same bruises ?
Faith's body is at the bottom of the river with cinderblocks tied to her feet. That's what TJ told you in the Business Office somewhere around Episode 2 I think. He was swimming at night and saw the girl's body sinking into the river with bricks tied to her feet, but she didn't have a head. This was Lily glamoured as Snow. However - in the last episode, they mention the "body at the bottom of the river" again - well after it had gotten around that Lily's body was down the Witching Well... So, conclusion would be both bodies were down there. It makes sense, I suppose. They didn't have access to the Witching Well, seeing as how that is inside the Business Office in the Woodlands, but the river is completely available.
Honestly, I originally assumed it was Faith glamoured as Nerrissa... but then I ran into this page and saw the reverse idea, and it makes a lot more sense from what I heard.
Plus, you could tell that Nerrissa really was The Little Mermaid, if you remember the pole dancing when you first meet her at the Puddin'n'Pie... she moves her legs around like they were a fin while hanging from the pole, and Georgie comments on it.

Maybe, Telltale can do anything. But if she was beat before, why did she check her bruises and beatings when they left Woodsman's apartment ? If he beat her there, it'd make sense. Or, it was just the way to make Bigby more sypathetic towards Faith.

That is because Faith was glamoured as Narissa. The magic mirror could not show her because of "powerful magic". For whatever reason they were glamoured as each other, there must be a reason we don't know about. So Georgie killed Narissa glamoured as Faith.
In the beginning I don't see any reason why narissa would glamour herself as faith. And mirror can't find faith's body because of powerful magic. I think it had magic because faith didn't want it to be found so that they couldn't find the glamour.
What if we really did meet Faith the first night.. then after that the girls did the glamour switch.. Faith over heard the real Narissa confessing to Georgie about the photo. So Faith knew she was in trouble and glamoured herself as Narissa, and she switched Narissa as Faith... and Georgie actually killed Narissa as glamoured Faith. ugh.. let's hope we find out in season 2... this can go either way.
You know... I think Bigby's knowledge of Faith stems further back to their lives in the Homelands, as Faith said in EP1 "We all sort of kne… morew each other at one point or another..." Thank you. I pondered a lot on theories and believe this is the one I'm settled with. Unless Telltale reveals anything...
That's kind of funny seeing as your profile picture is missing his mouth/jaw region :}
For a second I though he answered his own question cause you both have the same avatar.

Wait...so he doesn't want anything to do with the case? Or the people? He IS Fabletown's doctor.
Which then brings on one more question...Lily is down the Witching Well, but where is Faith's body? If her head is at Swinehearts?
Well I guess now that the spell is broken we could just go to the magic mirror and ask to see Faith, Nerissa etc. and find them.
"to only save herself"
Are you sure? Couldn't it be for the greater good? As a way, even if painful for Bigby, to stop The Crooked Man's scheme?
Maybe, but who knows? We can't truly say because we really don't know her. & That's the charm of the mystery.
We're trying to get to the bottom of this mystery Ellie.
Damn, good point. I do have the time, so I'll definitely try this.
That's a good one! She placed Faith in him both ways. Good eye bro.
Very confusing, I agree. I still can't pick which theory.
But you're saying the other theory doesn't make sense because you think we met the real Faith. What I'm saying is that it was Nerissa all along, even in the beginning.
Sounds reasonable.
In the beginning I don't see any reason why narissa would glamour herself as faith. And mirror can't find faith's body because of powerful magic. I think it had magic because faith didn't want it to be found so that they couldn't find the glamour.
So ..her ribbon is different from the other girls => she is the original ribbon girl or the original ribbon girl is not dead (and was not vivian) or let you imagination go wild there is really no hint as to why is that that I can figure....
i think it would have been a much better ending if they just let faith be faith and nerissa be nerissa it would have made more sence at least or they should have atleast explained it how can they do this to us its mental torture. they better be planning to give us answers because this is killing me. there isn't a scrap of evidense that confirms any of these theories their all just speculations.
I've got one more question. What happens next? Usually episodes end in a cliffhanger but this one was pretty resolved.
That is because Faith was glamoured as Narissa. The magic mirror could not show her because of "powerful magic". For whatever reason they were glamoured as each other, there must be a reason we don't know about. So Georgie killed Narissa glamoured as Faith.
Well done Telltale Games!! Well done!
The spell probably meant that tragically Nerissa disguised as Faith could not inform Georgie that she was not Faith in the first place.
