Sorry but I doubt it. I loved TWAU a lot but I don't really think it hit the standards that TWDS1 had. There were great moments that's for sure, but TWDS1 had HOLY SHIT moments, and IMO it was overall better. But out of all the games there I like TWAU more. Also, Left Behind is DLC so it doesn't count.
Wow The Wolf Among Us has to win with such shitty games (apart from Wolfenstein)
as competition
But even if they were good TWAU is still one of the best games I have ever played
Well Shovel Knight is actually pretty fun, Mario Kart 8 is just another Mario Kart game so whatever, Haven't played Wolfenstein yet, The Last of Us Left Behind is DLC so that shouldn't count, and Haven't played Divinity so yeah I agree TWAU should win out of these games.

The problem is that most of TWD S1's praise comes from its ending. Whilst TWAU was (in my view) a much more satisfying and enjoyable story consistently the ending didn't have the same emotional punch that TWD S1's did. Even though I think TWAU is much better than S1 and certainly far, far, better than TWD S2 the sheer popularity of The Walking Dead and the fandom it has will see S2 more likely in the GotY spot even if S2's finale is poorer.
TWAU was great, but it is unfortunately living in TWD's shadow. I expect TWD S2 and subsequent seasons will be suffering under S1E5's long casting shadow also.
Well, until now we haven't really got to the meat of game releases.
Alongside TWAU and Dark Souls 2, there are no other GOTY material, IMO.
But we should wait to see what Far Cry 4, GTA V Next Gen, TWD S2, Assassin's Creed Unity, Dragon Age Inquisition and, maybe, Alien Isolation have to offer us. Considering all the big named games being delayed to 2015, I do not doubt that TWAU could win GOTY, or at the very least a Story of the Year

That being said, it could have been even better. If they would have continued the flawlessness of E1, this game would be GOTY hands down. I replayed E1 a couple days ago, and it actually made me a little sad that Telltale wasn't able to make the rest of the episodes the same quality. I definitely loved the other episodes, but E1 is debatably the best Telltale episode that I have ever played.
There's plenty of GOTY categories and games don't have to be "amazing" to get to some of them.
TWAU gathered some really good reviews and lots of people are saying it's telltale's best game so far, so it has good chances to win.
So? Just because new stuff is going to be added doesn't make it any special. It doesn't change the fact that the game itself in its entirety came out last year.
TWAU had the potential too, but TTG was too busy milking TWD. I will be done with TTG if their Game of Thrones game suffers like this due to a "TWD season 3". Clementine is not that interesting, let it go already!
Yes i have. Considering my name is WalkingDeadFan1911.
Am i not allowed to like a game more than TWD? Okay then. I guess it's the fucking… more rules, or you'll get people to hate you for your own opinion.
I love TWD, it's my favorite game. I still think TWAU is better. Is that so bad?
Yeah. People think i give a shit about dislikes. But i don't. Dislike away. You absolutely have to obsess over TWD on this site for people to like you. You absolutely have to like Clem. But honestly, i wish people can accept that other people can have their own opinions, and you shouldn't hate them for it.
EDIT- for the people who disliked my comment, why don't you tell me WHY you disagree?
Episode 1 was amazing. I went in knowing little to nothing about the game, buying it on Steam purely because it was Telltale and trusting they would follow up The Walking Dead with something of similar quality. Was blown away. Episode was perfectly paced, had very satisfying action sequences, and left me satisfied at the end but still wanting more after that crazy cliffhanger.
Then 4 months of waiting for episode 2. Rumors of the season being rewritten. Episode 3 slider changes. When the episode comes out, it has almost nothing to do with the original preview. Was it bad? No. But it didn't live up to the bar set by episode 1, and it obviously wasn't the story Telltale originally wanted to tell.
Episode 3 was way better than 2, but still not as good as 1. The funeral scene was good, as was Auntie Greenleaf's apartment. The ending takes the cake though - being what was IMHO is one of the best sequences of any Telltale episode ever. Tension, awesome music, perfect atmosphere. Intense fight scene. Finally Bigby in his wolf form - something that was originally teased for Episode 2 but never happened due to the rewrites. Opportunity to kill a character. Then the reveal of the villain for the season. The pieces seemed to be coming together.
Episode 4 took these new developments from 3 and did....absolutely nothing with them. The definition of a filler episode, focusing on B stories from characters in the first 3 episodes and completely ignoring the developments with Bloody Mary, save for the opening scene which just had Snow, Colin and Bigby arguing with each other. Not to mention the episode is the shortest of the series, clocking in (for me) at about 75 minutes.
The finale was better than 2 and 4, but in my opinion not as good as 3 and especially not as good as 1. It most certainly has it's moments - most notably being the first 30 minutes and the last 5. But it wasn't all perfect. The conversation with the Crooked Man and his goons was good, the city chase sequence was spectacular, as was the fight with Bloody Mary and Bigby in full wolf form finally. But the trial scene was too long, kind of got dull after a while (though it was well written). The ending was definitely good, and absolutely intriguing.
It's just unfortunate they had to rewrite the season. Storylines such as the Mundy investigation never got into the final game, and it's really a shame. I think if Telltale had stuck to their original plan the season would have been not only faster on release, but higher quality. But something made them rewrite it, and it was good for what it was. Entertaining? Yes. A good game? Yes. But I wouldn't call it GOTY.
the wolf among us never reached the highs of the first episode, to many of the following episodes felt rushed and were to short. It ended up being a decent game, when it could have been one of the best games this year.
Yeah. People think i give a shit about dislikes. But i don't. Dislike away. You absolutely have to obsess over TWD on this site for people t… moreo like you. You absolutely have to like Clem. They have a DLC nominated for GOTY... I agree with you that the entirety of a game should be what is nominated and not an addition that wasn't originally part of the game/an addition that was already in the game but you were forced to purchase it to 'unlock' it.
So? Just because new stuff is going to be added doesn't make it any special. It doesn't change the fact that the game itself in its entirety came out last year.
They won't tell me why. it's obvious that they're so close minded and have a fucking seizure every time someone has a different opinion about TWD. I wish people would grow up and realize that everyone is different.

Holy crap someone is sensitive.

I swear to god if the DLC wins Game of the Year....
...a DLC is nominated for GOTY? Da hell?

GTA V next gen literally looks EXACTLY the same as current gen so I don't think that should win GOTY but yeah all those other games look cool.
In my opinion from best to worst:
3<1<5<2<4
All of them were good though don't get me wrong.
Would be cool if they made an actual Book of Fables that comes with the game, if it has a special edition that is.
GTA V doesn't count because it was released last year.
There's still dragon age coming out, and that looks really good... I dunno. But I would be really happy if TWAU got GOTY.
I really hope it wins. I love this game.

I dunno, I just can't see it. I mean, I understood why TWD won GOTY and I was happy about it, but I dunno.
Rockstar said that they would put more content in it
You never know with those guys.... they could surprise us
So? Just because new stuff is going to be added doesn't make it any special. It doesn't change the fact that the game itself in its entirety came out last year.
Divinity: Original Sin is a fun co-op rpg, but TWAU definitely has my vote over it.
High five brother!
If it's Mario Kart 8, then there hasn't been ten Mario kart games.
You haven't played TWD if that's really your mindset.
So just because you alone don't like something, that automatically means they should give up on it?
Yes i have. Considering my name is WalkingDeadFan1911.

Where did I say that? I was simply voicing my opinion. That's kind of the point of a forum in case you weren't aware.
I am not alone, a lot of players have been disappointing with TWD season 2.
And not to mention that it's a DLC, DLC's shouldn't be contenders for GOTY
My vote goes for TWAU.
is it one you vote for? because if it is im sad to say i think Left Behind will win, all those Last Of Us fanboys,
I think that should be under a dlc category, idk why it's an option for GOTY. I loved TLOU, but it's still just a dlc.
Yup, Mario Kart 8 is excellent. I'm also very much looking forward to trying Shovel Knight soon. Heard nothing but good things.
1 > 3 > 5 > 2 > 4

don't bother asking them. it's one of the reasons I easily get pissed off here in this community. I got an answer for u tho:
thick skulls
(obv the ppl that dislike/hate for stupid stuff)

The Wolf Among Us is Game of the Year in my book.
