Episode 5 Loading Freeze
Please help! On my PS3 version when I complete the big trial sequence with the Crooked Man and the game goes to the loading screen, it freezes up and crashes! No matter what I seem to do this has happened 3 times in a row for me, all at the exact same point (It also happened once on the loading screen after the previous scene, but that at least started working again when I gave it another shot). Is there anything I can do, or will I need a patch to fix the issue?
I'm so close, I'm a huge fan of this game and I've been dying to see how it all wraps up, but now the game essentially won't let me!

I apologize for the inconvenience. Please try deleting the Episode, then re-downloading it. To do this, please delete the Game Data Utility for the game from the PS3 XMB, then start the game, and re-download the episode and see if you are then able to continue the Episode. (Please note this will not harm your save files, but will delete Episodes 2-5 from your PS3, which you can download again at any time for free.)

TWAU is not showing up under my "game data utility". In fact, none of telltale's games are showing up in there for me. Should I just delete the entire game from the games column instead and re-download?
I've had absolutely no freezing issues with the game until episode five came out. And oddly enough, my first playthrough of episode five went perfectly fine. It's afterwards when I started playing through for a second time that I started getting issues. It's pretty much impossible for me to get a save loaded now. It'll either freeze on the loading screen or freeze a few seconds after the scene starts.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify how many save slots you are currently using, and how large each of the saves are on those slots? (Are they complete playthroughs, or partial episode saves?)
Sure! I've got three save slots and they are all complete playthroughs:
save 1- Completed episode five with no problems.
save 2- Completed episode five, but had several freezing issues. The first freeze was when entering the iron works factory. It froze again when entering the Crooked Man's room there. And then one more time on the loading screen before the trial scene.
save 3- Completed episode four and have not started five yet, although I plan to attempt it soon. I can let you know if I run into any issues with this save, if you'd like! |UPDATE| Finished this save without issues!
I also did a rewind on save #1 and that's when I started having issues with freezing on that file as well. I rewinded to the scene where you confront the Crooked Man at the factory. Each time it would load, but after a few seconds, it would freeze on Bigby opening the door (I saw in another thread that someone else was experiencing freezes at this exact moment as well). I attempted to load this file three times, and every time it would freeze at that moment. The next time I loaded, I tried to go about it differently. I went through the menus very slowly, then when the game loaded, I paused before the troubled door-opening spot. After staying on the pause menu for a few seconds, I clicked resume and Bigby finally opened the door without the game freezing. I was then able to complete the save once more without further issues!
