I think I understand the whole "Faith/Nerissa" subject. *THEORY*

So, I was watching a playthrough of The Wolf Among Us by Cryaotic. In the description, he said this: "For those curious, Nerissa was glamoured as Faith at the beginning of Episode 1 in order to get Bigby motivated enough to take on the case. And she did a damn good job of it."

He says that Nerissa glamoured herself as Faith when they first met. So, I think that Faith was already murdered and after Nerissa and Bigby spoke, she put Faith's head on his doorstep.

Other parts that come into play:

At the start of episode 1, the Woodsman said that 'Faith' (Nerissa) knew who he was, but Faith/Nerissa said she didn't. Since Nerissa was glamoured as Faith, she didn't know who Faith's clients were.

Also, at the start of episode 1, Faith/Nerissa lodged the axe into the Woodsman's head when he was choking Bigby. The reason behind that, is because she needed Bigby to figure out the case. And he kinda couldn't do that if he was dead.

So, what are your thoughts?

  • As usual, I'd love to support this theory, but, as always, I must kinda crash it, since nobody yet offered an acceptable explanation - if Nerissa was at Woodsman's place and got beat up there, why did Faith's head on the doorstep had the same bruises ? Furthermore, I think Faith was supposed to cover for Lily that night, so it's possible that real Faith did not know Lily's customers too. And lodging the axe in the head of Woodsman doesn't really prove anything, I believe real Faith would have done the same, since it's just moral decency, and even if she hadn't, Bigby would have survived by turning wolf-ish and tearing Woodsman.

If that's true, how come the Woodsman knew Faith, but 'Faith' didn't?

But even 'Faith' asks, "The teeth and all that... that's not supposed to happen, is it?" So, I don't think she knew Bigby could do that.

  • How did Woodsman let us know that he knows her ? For teeth, maybe. Don't know about that.
