He wouldn't have allowed much interference in the investigation. He wouldn't have allowed Bluebeard to interfere and likely would have physically threatened and/or arrested him. Wouldn't have abused any suspects in custody or attacked anyone unnecessarily. Would have caught on to Crane's involvement much earlier and kept him away from evidence. Probably would have killed Dum. Would have slashed CM's throat quickly enough that it could still arguably be called self-defense. Probably would have told Snow not to do anything stupid like convening a jury before a suspect is even in custody. Might have even disposed of the body without bringing it back and simply told everyone that Georgie was ultimately responsible.

Haha, I wouldn't describe him that way. But he certainly does his own thing and the politicians generally know to take his advice and not to interfere (though King Cole threatens him at one point and Bigby sort of backs down when there was nothing he could really do, anyway).
Snow probably never would have gone against Bigby's advice in how he conducted his investigation. Heck, in the comics she freaking went on a date with him because he told her it was essential to his investigation.
