Is the server for the stats screen still up?

I've been pretty flustered with how I'm always getting red lines and no stats (and the game pretty much freezing) whenever I enter the stats option for an episode.

Playing it on PC.

Now this said, after doing some research, I've come to the understanding that that screen connects to the internet before showing you the stats.

(If it is somehow a barrier to me checking the stats; I have played the game before and was able to see the stats screen just fine back then, so does it only work for a player's first-time experience)?

Anyway, so since I'm having this trouble, I'd like to know; is the Telltale server which presents your episodes stats (Season One) still up and running? Cause this problem is really annoying me.

Below picture, apart from the fact that I'm experiencing this on a Windows 8 PC, is a perfect image of what I see.

I apologize for the inconvenience. You should be able to see your Stats show up properly. Can you please clarify if you are connected to the internet while playing through the episodes of the game? You will need to be connected to the internet and connect with our servers at the end of the episode in order to see your Stats Page correctly. You can also try disabling any anti-virus or internet firewall programs running in the background that may be blocking the game's communication with our servers.

I've tested allowing the program through the firewall and through the antivirus but that doesn't seem to circumvent the issue at all. I am connected to the internet when I'm at the end of the episode. What I find myself forced to do is to rewind to the final chapter of the episode (note that I see placeholder cards instead of the chapter icons), play through that chapter, then see the stats screen -- it seems to show up just fine after beating an episode. But when clicked on at the menu screen, it doesn't seem to work at all.

Is there a patch or a fix I can get that can help me through this problem? Is there some program or file converter that can let me view the stats opposed to seeing them in-game?

  • I'm currently about to start episode 4 and this is what I've deduced.

If I click the continue option for episode 3, it will load me to the very last scene (odd since I've already beat the episode). If I exit that scene immediately and then click stats, it'll show the stats no problem. But if I dare try to load the stats before doing this, it'll show me 5 red lines without text that force me to restart the game.

So it seems that there is a fix for it, albeit an inconvenient one.

  • I'm about to start episode 5 on this playthrough. Here's what I've found. When I first boot up the game, I check the rewind button on episodes 3 and 4 and it has placeholder cards. Clicking on the stats screen when the Rewind option has the placeholders will freeze the game.

However, when I boot up episode 5 and exit it IMMEDIATELY, the placeholder cards are gone and the stats show up.

So I guess this isn't impossible to live with just inconvenient.
