s2e4 Crashing on Windows 7
I downloaded The Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 4 (from the telltale-store) today and I am unable to play it due to the application crashing. It happens a few minutes after the application is started (doesn't matter if you're in the menu or playing episode 4) and crashes my PC too, forcing me to turn it of, after wich i get a notification of a bluescreen (image below, unfortunatly in German).
Has anyone experienced something similar or hasa solution for the problem? Thanks in advance!

My game also crashes on my Macbook pro 2013 version whenever I attempt to play episode 4. It is the first episode in all 2 seasons as well as the wolf among us where i'm experiencing a crash whenever I attempt to play.
I put in the steam forums i'll let you know what they say.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Below are a few possible solutions:
1) Ensure you have the latest drivers for both your graphics card, and your computer’s BIOS
2) Restart your system
3) Unplug your gamepad (and all other USB devices other than keyboard/mouse) and plug in headphones to the audio out jack.
4) Verify your cache if you purchased through Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
5) Run the game as admin
6) Run the game in compatibility mode (right click on game, click properties, click compatibility tab , and we recommend running the game in Windows 98/ME ) (We recommend Windows 98/ME)
7) Reinstall the game
8) Make sure that the Steam application is not set to a compatibility mode (right click on steam and click properties, then check compatibility, and make sure that it is not checked to play in a different OS)
9) Disable Steam Overlay, if you purchased through Steam (http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3168263)
OK, I followed all the points that applied to me. (I bought the game on telltalegames.com, not steam)
Restarted the system, Reinstalled the game, plugged in headphones and attempted to run it in all the ways described above.
The application still crashes after being open for a few minutes. I wasn't even able to download the Episodes after s2e1.
The BIOS seems to be up to date, the Manager cannot find a later Version.
("Microsoft-Systemverwaltungs-BIOS-Treiber" Version 6.1.7601.17514)
However, I updated the driver of the Graphics-Card to: NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 (Version 8.17.12.9628)
After doing all this, the Game still crashes my entire Computer well before I can re-download the other Episodes.
Can you help me a little more, please?
I apologize for the inconvenience. Please also try switching the game to Windowed Mode after you start it by using the PC shortcut (Alt+Enter) and see if you are able to stay in the game without it crashing. You can also then try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and then see if you are able to successfully play the game.
After trying the game in window mode on the lowest resolution, i managed to re-download episode four and attempted to play it.
(Also: The application just froze that time, but without crashing my computer.)
Now it still crashes in the same way it used to before re-installing it.
(Oddly enough, it stilll crashes in compatibility mode (Win 98/ME), where i did not re-install episode four yet and have no save-files.)
(I should also mention that i manually removed the folder for the save files and game data for season two and re-inserted the season 2 save file into the original location after re-installing season 2. I did this because the program for unistalling season two kept saying that it finished uninstalling, even though the file was still there and the game was still playable.)
Thanks for the help so far!
Can you please clarify if the game crashes if you remove your save files, and start a new game?
I was just attempting to play it after deleting the Walking Dead Season 2 Folder in Documents and I was greeted with this:

The Episode 4 menu theme is playing (The one that plays before you download episode four and view the intro picture of it, not the new one) and even the Telltale-and skybound Logos are in Epsode four's colour scheme. Here is the File the Game made after I started it:

I'm going to attempt to play it now.
EDIT: It crashed when I went to pick up the bottle from the ground.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately if none of my previous suggestions were able to fix your issue, I am out of potential solutions to resolve your issue. I recommend contacting/email our Support Staff at Support@Telltalegames.com, and make sure to tell them all of the suggestions I already gave you, and they should be able to assist you further.
I have the same problem trying to play ep 2. Here is the link for my support file. https://www.sendspace.com/file/2yi62f
After looking over your Support Tool information, it seems that your computer is running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 64mb of dedicated memory. Your computer uses an integrated Intel graphics card, which we do not recommend using for our game, as they tend to run under minimum specs. I recommend either trying to update your current card's drivers to the latest version, and see if you are able to play, or try playing the game on a computer above minimum system requirements if you have the ability to.
In case anyone comes across this theard with the same problem:
I was able to play Game like the Person in this Theard did. Pausing the game and clicking somewhere not on the Application-Window, waiting for a while and then unpausing again every few minutes.
Oddly enough, I only have ONE Graphics-Card, which according to the FAQ should be sufficient to play the Game. No idea in why that worked.
