400 Days - freezes Xbox on start-up

Hi there, I'm having problems getting the special episode 400 Days to start. I can't manage to get past the episode select screen without freezing my Xbox. So far I've tried moving my one save file to a USB stick or cloud storage, re installing the episode, clearing the cache and re-playing the last chapter of episode five, but nothing has worked. Each time I have to reset the machine, as I can't even exit to dashboard via the home button. I was hoping to play through this episode before starting on season two. Any ideas?

Also, will I miss much if I just continue onto season two without playing 400 days?

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you are receiving an error message before/when the Xbox 360 freezes?

  • Nope, nothing at all. Just freezes on the chapter select screen. Have left it a while, but the Xbox is completely unresponsive, needing a reset.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if when starting the game, that you are connected to the internet, and logged into your Xbox Live profile to ensure you have received the latest Title Update for the game? Also, can you please clarify how many save slots you are currently using in the game?

  • Yes to all of the above and just using the one save slot.

My apologies for the inconvenience. Please also try deleting episodes 2-5 from your console, so that you only have Episode 1 and 400 Days, and see if you can then progress into 400 Days successfully.

  • I've tried that and still the episode wont start up. I'm beginning to think I'll just have to miss out on this part of the story.
