Problem purchasing Sam & Max

I have tried several times today, 11/26/06, to purchase the whole season of Sam & Max but, whenever I click on "Checkout" from the "My cart" page the next page to display says there is nothing in my shopping basket. I have tried this with the latest version of Firefox and IE ver 7, both having the same result. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

This could be due to your cookie or security settings. Please take a look at this thread and let us know if any of the suggestions there solve the problem, or if you're still unable to place an order.

I tried today 28th of november, couldn't purchase the game.
Using firefox 2.0, no antivirus/firewall/anticookie tool installed.

After entering CC data it says "unable to process your order.
It's a mastercard, and quite sure there is credit left ;-)
Tried three times, doublechecked all fields. BTW, shouldn't there be a field to enter three-digit CVS security code also?

After that I tried purchasing the game at gametap, but thats only US/canada.
I'm from Europe...HELP, wanna play.....any place I can buy it from?

    Hi,

I'm also having the same problem. I'm from Western Australia, and using FireFox 1.5.0.8 with no content/cookie blocking extensions. I tried purchasing about 15-20 minutes before this post.

I'm getting the error "Payment Authorization Failed". See the attachment. I've blanked out the reference number and my address for confidentiality purposes. If you need them, let me know and I'll email them to you.

I'm not sure how your credit card verification works, but could it be that for us international customers, there is nowhere to enter our state. This would mean that the billing information is not the same as what's on our Credit Card statement.

I had similar problems when I purchased Bone 1 & 2, and ended up using PayPal. It looks as though you no longer do paypal orders. :-(

I'm looking forward to playing (long nights at work ahead)!

Thanks for your help! Its fantastic that adventure games are still being made so well. Love a good puzzle.

    Cheers,
    Mike Nye

    Hi guys,

The error that the two of you are getting is due to the verification process that Digital River does to check your billing information, etc. We are trying very hard to get this resolved by as of now it needs to be investigated on a case by case basis and we're not having much luck getting the problem resolved for the people who are experiencing it. Believe me, I'm really trying to get it fixed, but this is something Telltale can't control.

I'm going to be talking to them about the problem again this morning. In the meantime, if you get an error like this, the best thing to do is to use PayPal instead. You can link your credit card to a PayPal account and use the same credit card you were trying to use in our store. PayPal is available for all of our products except the season 1 set, and we're working to get it implemented for the season set as well. There's more info here about PayPal and how we're going to allow people who buy episode 1 with PayPal to upgrade to the full season in the future.

    I'm sorry we can't fix this. :(

No problems. I'll purchase episode 1 tomorrow and send you a message with my details so I can get the first season when the problems are resolved. Thanks for taking the time to answer our queries Emily, you must spend all day on these forums :)

    Best of luck.

I get the "Your Cart is Empty" message, but even when I put my IE privacy settings to LOW (ie. no blocks to 3rd party cookies), it still doesn't work. My shopping cart remains empty!

Do you have ZoneAlarm? If yes, turn it off (or change the settings for ads and cookies). See the thread here for details. I think this is different than changing the security settings in IE.

Please let us know if this fixes the problem.
