One of the biggest/least explored mysteries left unanswered...

The whole scene in Prince Lawrence's apartment. What the hell happened there?

The shot (gun), the wrists (dagger), the different blood pools, the notes, the prescription pills...

Has anyone even tried to piece it all together? Or have figured any parts?

Please, share your theories!

It just seemed like he was trying various ways to kill himself, now that I look back on it.

That knife though, that poses a real question. Maybe.

  • I know, he has some weird sexual fetishes.

  • Attempted suicide.

  • Nothing special, it's all Prince Lawrence. He got so sad when Faith left, so it's not fone by anyone else but himself.

  • Highly doubt it. Someone's else blood is there too. Faith's? Why? How? I think don't think he drugged himself, it was someone drugging him. Faith?

  • Did you save him? He shot himself, slit his wrists and overdosed to try and kill himself. He says so himself.

No no no, I remember he saying exactly "at least I think that's what happened.... everything seems so fuzzy".

That's why I think that maybe something else went on, like Faith using his depression to have him drugged and made the whole scene so that, either, he would die looking like suicide (evil as fuck, but he was dragging her down and she was in a tight spot), or when the Crooked man's thugs got there (after she played her cards) they would think him to be dead and wouldn't bother him (otherwise they could him kill him while looking for her/the stolen photo) and she would come back in time to save him (which if was the plan she for some reason fails if Bigby himself doesn't save Lawrence).

Anyway, the whole scene is very strange. And I think it deserves some more attention and pondering.

  • The pills are self-explanatory. The dagger, gun, and blood aren't. The blood on the wrist was dried by the fan. The dagger is a good 2 ft away from it's original position. The gun was fired a week ago. The blood on the bed is sticky.

    Logical Timeline

    1. Lawrence attempts suicide by overdosing sleeping pills.
    2. Lawrence shoots at his lung.
    3. Someone slits Lawrence's wrists on the bed after moving him.
    4. Culprit returns to rearrange and plant evidence in the apartment.

Illogical Timeline with a logical possibility (4)

    1. Lawrence takes the pills.
    2. Lawrence slits his wrists.
    3. Lawrence shoots himself in the lung.
    4. Someone checks to see if he's alright and kicks the dagger 2 ft. making it impossible for Lawrence to reach it.
  • This may be a bit of a spoiler as a kinda maybe reason why, but it doesn't impact any story at all -

  • In the books, it's stated that the better known a Fable is, the harder they are to kill permanently. Lawrence isn't really well known, but it implies that Fables are pretty resilient overall.
