Walking dead 2 crashes

Dear Telltale.
For the love of god.
I need assistance asap.

I left WDs2 in the dust when I became rightfully furious with its bugs, constant crashings, Connection problems, savegame errors, registry interferences etc.

Now I thought I'd give it another try.
I reinstalled it, told the installer the keep my savefiles, and check if i need directx update.
Tried to start the game, but when I pressed play, it crashed.
"Walkingdead2.exe has stopped working"
Checked forums, set my compatibility mode to win98/me, disabled desktop composition, and set it to run in admin mode.
Booted up the game, NOW it started off just fine.
BUT but it didn't have any of my previous saves.
At least the game started, but I didn't want to start all over,
so I Checked my documents library, and saw a very peculiar thing:

Alt text

I don't know how that is even possible, but what the heck, I'm going to play along.
I copied to all my game data from one library to the other, merging and overwriting everything in the process.
Starting up the game again, NOW it seem to have my save files (for Season 2 for sure, I have no idea about 400 days, or season 1 though).

Aaaand The game crashes again whenever I press "play".
Is there an universal solution to this somewhere?
I cannot believe it has to be THIS hard!

I noticed that your game is installed to the following file directory:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead Season Two\The Walking Dead Season Two\

It seems that you reinstalled it into its own file directory. Unfortunately this may have corrupted your preferences file, and by association, your save files. I recommend copying that inner-The Walking Dead Season Two folder and backing it up to your desktop. Then delete the outer-The Walking Dead Season Two folder, and replace it with the folder you backed up to your desktop. Then restart the game, and see if you can continue your saves. Unfortunately if you cannot, I would have to recommend that you uninstall the game again, and delete any folders associated with The walking Dead Season Two, including your save file directory located here (Please note your save files will be lost in the process):

C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Telltale Games\The Walking Dead Season Two

Then reinstall the game, and you should not experience this issue again.

    Bummer.

Seems as my saves really had become corrupted, and I have to start over. (now it seems a good thing that after ep2 it just crashed beyond help, so I only have to grind through these two).

Question: aren't my previous choices archived somewhere else beyond my hd? I mean after each episode I get a little graph, showing how others decided in the same situation. Do you keep records the individual choices, or just the overall statistics?

Your save files have your choices stored in them, and the overall statistics are uploaded to our servers as you play through the game while connected to the internet. My apologies for any difficulties you have experienced, and I hope that you are now able to enjoy the game.
