Season 2 Epsiode 5 freeze on startup

Hi there! I've been playing this fantastic Steam game recently and I was really looking forward to get episode 5...BUT...here we go: episode 5 came out and after the download I started the game and resumed from espisode 5 but every time I do so the game freezes on a black screen with the loading spinner stuck on the top right corner of the screen.
I can't paly the last episode at all...I've already tried to reinstall the game from zero but nothing seems to work.
Can anyone hel me, please?

  • Thanks but I've managed to resolve the problem on my own. After game re-installation I've ran Steam "Cache Integrity Check" or how it is called (I use Steam in Italian) and that found 2 corrupted files and proceeded to re-download those files. After that I am able to start and play episode 5.

    I recommend trying @SoulbringerDan 's resolution, and see if you are then able to play the game successfully.
