Screen goes black when selecting 'Rewind' for Episodes 2-5
Hi,
I am currently having an issue with the Walking Dead Season 1. About 1 year ago I played through the entire game and did not have any problems. However, now I am trying to play the game again and have an issue where the screen will go black with a cursor when trying to play episodes 2-5. The only way to remove the black screen is to force quit the game. To be specific, after selecting the save file and chapter, the game says ‘Rewinding will delete any progress made after this point, but retain progress up to this point. Do you want to rewind after thus checkpoint?’ Yes or No. Selecting either option will result in the black screen.
I should also note that I am running the game on my MacBook Pro, through Steam. I have also purchased 500 days and Season 2. I have tried to find a fix to this on the message boards but haven’t found an answer.
Any help would be great!

Please follow the instructions to run the TWD Support Tool and post the download link to the resulting "TWD_support_data_pc.zip" or "TWD_support_data_mac.zip" to your next reply in this thread.

Please rename the prefs.prop file in
/Users/tanyathorpe/Desktop/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/
to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, and then start the game, and you should be able to continue your saves/rewind your saves.

/Applications/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/
to prefs.prop.bak to disable it, then restart the game and your save files should be restored.

/Users/Ron/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/The Walking Dead/TheWalkingDead.app/Contents/Resources/Pack/default/
to prefs.prop.bak to disable it. Then restart the game and your save files will be restored. (Your Library folder is sometimes hidden, to make it visible, please open a Finder window, and at the top of the screen, click Go and hold down the Option key. The Library will now become available in the drop down menu. Click that and follow the above file path, and delete the file specified above.)
