Mouse snaps to corners

During main menu and conversation option picking menu the mouse tracks fine. During action sequences the mouse snap to the four corners of the screen. Similar to this video except it has full screen range.

    Works ok from a completely new save file but any old saves, or a copy off of an old save, and I get the snapping mouse problem. As much as I like the game, I really don't want to have to play the whole game again.

    Can you please clarify what kind of mouse you are currently using, and if you have updated the latest drivers for it recently?
