Mouse cursor gone or not working

I'm in Season 2 where Clementine is behind the tree stump and can either shoot the zombie to the left, or run to the right.

Except I can't do either. All I have is four red squares in the middle of the screen. I can hold and move left to point the gun at the zombie, or look to the right, but I don't have a mouse cursor to move to pinpoint and do either..

I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium if that helps. Just completely unplayable now, obviously. And yes, I tried exiting to main menu and back and it still happens. Trying to reinstall it right now to see if that makes a difference.

For this, I could have gotten it on the 360.
