I'm not sure if I'll be on tomorrow, so goddamn busy and the world has just gone gray to me. But I wanted to make sure I posted this....
So tomorrow is September 11th, and it's affected a lot of people I know since I live in NJ and a lot of people here commute to NYC. I was really young when it happened (like 4 or 5) and I remember being taken out of preschool early that day and all the moms were running in there and I noticed something was wrong, but I was too young to really think much of it. My mom took me and my older brother home, and at the time I thought she was calm but it turned out that she was actually crying in the few minutes she would leave us alone to make some calls. My dad and my aunt (her sister) worked only several buildings away from the World Trade Center and with all the confusion and chaos going on, she had no idea if they were hurt or even dead.
My dad came home along with my aunt (she decided to stay the night) and they came home covered in ash and they had the most blank expressions on their faces. I only had a vague idea of what happened. After I was tucked in for the night I sneaked downstairs since I was a sly kid so I could hear what they were talking about. They all had really hard liquor with them.
What I heard still haunts me to this day. They talked about looking through their office windows and wondering why people were throwing furniture out of the towers, but after looking closer they realized that it was people. They even saw glimpses of dead bodies on the ground with sheets over them.
RIP to all those who died that day and to those who died while trying to save others

Damn, its probably a hard experience for both your dad and aunt to this day. I cant imagine seeing these things so up close, to a building they went by almost every single day. Take your time and clear your mind if you have to.
RIP to everyone that has been hurt by these tragic events.

Holy crap. RIP all the victims affected Bye Maddi, if you're not on tomorrow. Don't feel obligated to be here. If you need to stay off that's okay.
The stupidity and hypocrisy of some people never ceases to amuse me.
