I did too, but I put the ego aside and went anyway, turns out I have OCD and I am already better after the sessions, don't push away help if… more it presents itself to you.
If you feel like you're about to hit someone, or hurt someone, I recommend one session with a therapist, just to let him/her check the perimeter and tell you what's up.
