So in reality, Toad is...

I read on the Fables wikia that Mr Toad (as his gravestone on The Farm reveals) is dead. Is this true? Was Mr Toad mentioned by any characters or is the only appearance (at all) of him is an umentioned tombstone (which, likely produced on a whim, turned out to be a basis for the character).

Oh yeah... And when you realize... That he has an incredibly cute son...

R.I.P. Mr Toad ;-; I kinda blame Snow.

  • Maybe in season 2 it will reveal how he died :P

  • whaat he died?! i like toad :( and TJ is adorable!! :(

  • Personally, I didn't care too much for him. Always making me mad when I saw him.

  • We did see A Mr Toad during the Battle for Fabletown and as far as I know he survived that battle. That might've been TJ all grown up?

  • He dies in a different War. ( dont want to get into comic spoilers so)

  • The tombstone in the comics isn't necessarily the Toad in TWAU. The toad that died was never meant to be a specific character, merely a background one that no one actually notices or misses. The game may or may not have added Toad on purpose, this could even possibly be a coincidence. Who knows if the tombstone is really Toad, or Toad Jr.? There was never any other frogs as characters after that battle that I know of. Another point, I might add, is that the Toad that died during that battle WAS resurrected. When Flycatcher reestablished his fallen kingdom of Haven, every dead spirit of the Witching Well was marched there and recreated as flesh for a second chance at life. Toad very well might have been among the group.

Which, goes to say, brings up an entirely new point. Was the Crooked Man brought to Haven? If we do knock him down the Witching Well (I think the only other option was to put him in the dungeon? I chose to throw him down, so idk.) There was the possibility that he was left behind, because a lot of spirits were lost on the way to Haven. Or, maybe he really is there, living among the others who'd been given second chances? Obviously we don't see him there, because the Game was created well after these issues were published. The Crooked Man was one of Telltale's original characters.

If you have other opinions, you can reply to me. I'm basing my research on simply reading every issue of the comics and recalling what I can to support my reasoning.

Don't be afraid to express your love for Snow, it's completely understandable!

Besides, Bloody Mary or Nerissa could challenge her beauty. If I were to say otherwise about the two (especially Bloody Mary), my head would be on a pike right about now.

  • I guess I did the right thing sending both Toad and Colin to the Farm.

    ...in love.
