iOS: can't advance to next episode
Hi, I may be a complete idiot here, but I am completely baffled. I hope someone can point out ot me the completely obvious thing I just can't figure out how to do to get to the next episode.
I'm playing Season 2. I've played Episodes 1 and 2-- played through 1 shortly after it came out and got 2 as soon as it did; I cannot remember how it worked to get from 1 to 2, but I left it until all the episodes came out so I wouldn't have to wait. Now I've finished Episode 2 and cannot for the life of me get at 3. I've finished 2-- played through the last chapter twice just to make sure-- let it run the credits-- click continue-- it restarts chapter 12. I go to the Episodes page; it tells me they're all installed by they are not accessible from there. All I can do from the Play page is access chapters I've already played from episodes 1 and 2. Please help! This is incredibly frustrating!

I use Android to play it & with what you are saying, did you try to replay all of EP2? the game might have skipped a choice somehow (lolwut) & bugged, if you tried that, try to delete your save files of season 2, I don't know where it is in iOS but in Android, it is in sdcard/Telltale/WalkingDead2/All files here, don't know about iOS just try to find the save files & delete them
Thanks Carl! No, I didn't try to replay all of episode 2, just tried to finish it. I do have a vague half-memory of there being something not entirely obvious you had to do to progress previously, maybe back in Season 1; it was a long time ago. If I can't remember or someone doesn't pop up to tell me exactly what to do, I'll try deleting and reinstalling the game, which should zap all the save files.
It's such a bummer, because I love this game. It's so very well made. Story, writing, artwork, music, everything-- it creates an atmosphere that makes it ten times elevnty more irritating when it bugs up because I JUST WANT MORE! Thanks again!
What is happening to you as you said, is not normal & it is a bug, you can just try to find the saves & remove them manually without re-installing so it might work, tho re-installing it should work but I don't know if you can restore purchases easily if you re-install it using the appstore cus I never used iOS, but if you are sure about how the restore purchase thing work (cause you use iOS) then go on, re-install it
It's very easy-- as long as you have your Apple ID you just re-download it from the App Store. It remembers your purchases so you don't have to buy it again. OK, I'll do that! Thanks for your help!

@MangeTout Can you please clarify if when you are on the Chapter Select screen, that you are able to scroll over to Episode 3 and tap Play? Also, you mentioned that you left the game application until all of the episodes were released. Can you please clarify if you've updated the application to the latest version from the App Store? (The latest version is version 1.2)
You can also try deleting the episode from your device, and re-download it. You can do this by opening the Help & Options Menu, and going to Manage Downloads, and from inside there you can tap Delete, and select the episode you wish to Delete, then re-download it, and see if your issue is resolved.
I have the exact problem as MangeTout. I have uninstalled the episode several times bug it still kicks me back to the last part of episode 2. Would love to find a fix for this issue. Evidently I'm not alone. Thanks.
I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you have tried rewinding to the chapter/checkpoint before the end of Episode 2, and tried playing through the end of Episode 2 again? Also, if you choose to start Episode 3, does it alert you that choices will be randomly generated?
I tried playing the last chapter several times. I even uninstalled complete game and started from the beginning. I download and install episode 3 and it doesn't show up in the save files. I am only given the option to go back to episode 2.
I posted the problem on this thread without replying to this. Very frustrating to have played the game through again only to have the same issue pop up.
Can you please clarify if changing to a different/blank save slot, allows you to start Episode 3 successfully?
I did a rewind of episode 2 and saved to a different slot. Played through. Same issue. Episode 3 is not showing up as an option but is installed. At this point, after playing episode 2 close to a dozen times I'm done. Refund?
I apologize for the inconvenience. If you switch to a blank save slot that does not have any saves on it, and choose to start Episode 3 without continuing your saves, are you then able to start Episode 3?

I uninstalled 3. I downloaded it again and restarted the game before installing. When I booted up the game again 3 was installed and available to continue. I was ready to give up. Thanks.

I have had this issue for quite some time now.. So I requested a refund from Apple support, who in return, expressed that the "refund" can only be made by Telltale. So not only has this issue been a complete pain... Now I am also out of over 34$. This is totally not cool TelltaleMike....and someone needs to explain exactly why it's so difficult to be compensated for experiencing issues with your products software. Ive uninstalled, reinstalled, and did so on 3 different IOS iPhones and the problem is still the same. Unable to play or restore episodes 2-5 of TWD season 2.
same problem here, exactly the same.
Tried everything , install uninstall, reboot, restart, reply episode 2 many times and at the end the problem is always the same.
It is like it doesn't "see" the third episode installed.
is very frustating

Hi, i am having a problem playing episode 3.
after i finish episode 2 and see the credits at the end i try to play the next episode but it will show me only episode 2 and not episode 3 that of course is intalled.
i tried anything possible, unistall the episode, change save file, replay episode 2 from beginning.
i am fade up now
i want to solve this issue
If you are still experiencing the issue, can you please clarify if you have tried uninstalling not the full game application, but just the individual episode? Also, can you please clarify what iOS device you are playing on, and what iOS version it is currently updated to?
