400 Days DLC not working (Mac native, not Steam)

I was wondering if someone can actually help me with this issue, I just recently finished playing episodes from 1 to 5 on the first season (OSX Yosemite 10.10), and then installed the 400 Days DLC, to my surprise the DLC won't show up in the play menu or even on the downloadable content menu, I've looked up for fixes all over this forum and now I know is a common problem, but I can't find a fix, I tried replaying episode five hoping it would prompt the special episode to appear, but had no luck with that, I even tried to run the support tool to patch the issue someone provides in other discussion and had no luck either. Ultimately I kind of gave up on the fix and moved to Season 2, and now the game says it was unable to import the save data from S1.

What can I do? I really want to play the 400 Days DLC, knowing that even those choices carry over Season 2, but now I can't even import my previous progress to the game. I need a solution

    I apologize for the inconvenience. After installing the 400 Days episode, please make sure you are going to the Chapter Select screen, and scrolling all the way to the right, past Episode 5, in order to access the bonus content. If you are still experiencing the issue, can you please clarify where you purchased the game from? Accessing 400 Days may differ depending on which version of the game you are playing.
