The Walking Dead Season 2 (PS4)
I have both the walking dead season 1&2 on
Playstation 4, i finished Season One three days ago and got season Two today.
When i started and it told me about the
Season One transfer i followed intructions on screen and it said: Unable to transfer data from season One.
Now both games are disc and bought in the same gamestore,i tried to look for info on google about this and even here.
All i can find is about PC or PS3 versions who have this problem but PS4 does too.
please help!

Same exact problem here, this just sucks. I played the entire first season + 400 days, wanted to start season 2 today and can't do anything because the game can't find the season 1 save.
My apologies, we are currently looking into the root cause of the issue, and hope to have a resolution soon. Can you please clarify what region/country you are currently residing in? Also, can you please clarify if you have tried importing your saves both online connected to the internet, and offline/disconnected? Are both games the physical disc versions, or are they the digital download versions?

I had season 1 for ps3 but got rid of it so i could get season 1 for PS4 which i did.
Played all episodes to completion and 400 days aswell.

Yes i was connected to the internet and logged into my PSN And like in my message it says i got both season 1&2 on disc and bought at the same gamestore. (Physical disc versions)
I hope so i was so looking forward to play season 2 and then it wouldn't read the season 1 file so i checked on google and ended up here hoping to find a solution but all i found out was more people had this problem and nothing about PS4. I tried to play season 1 and then stop to start season 2 but that didn't work,i tried deleting the season 2 application and reinstalling it but that didn't work either.
Hey, I'm getting the same problem, I've completed Season 1 and it is saved to my PS4 with the disc and was trying to start Season 2 but it says there is no save file. I live in England in the UK, both games are the physical disc versions and yes, I've tried importing it online AND offline and neither works
please help me

yeah im getting the exact same thing, both are physical ps4 discs, i have completed season 1 and 400 days completely and have started up season 2 following all in game instructions. the result was unable to find season 1 save.

Same here, Season 1 + 400 Days finished, Season 2 can't find the saves. Both physical copies for the PS4 and I'm in Australia.
I've emailed support, hope to hear from them soon... I'm not gonna play through Season 2 with a bunch of randomized results.
I'm getting the same problem here in the uk. I have physical versions of the games too. I have saves on every episode (had to do as everytime I played an episode in season 1, it carried my choices from the previous one, plus I have stats for each one too). I am getting the no save file thing too. How long will a patch or a solution be?
Same problem for me here as well. Finished Season 1 with 400 Days today and tried to import my savefile into Season 2, no luck. I have the german physical copy of the Walking Dead Series. I hope it will get fixed soon, I want to continue "my" Story!
Btw: I encountered another problem with my Season 1 savefile: I'm not able to copy the saveslot from 1 to 2 or 3. After pressing the button for "copy" and choosing one of the two other slots, it wont do anything.

Germany, Europe, tried to import game files on- / and offline, both games physical disc version ordered from amazon.
So this PS4 problem is in Europe, UK and Australia that we know. Anyone from the US or Canada facing similar problems?

Yeah indeed exactly the same.
I don't know why this became a problem but loads of players have trouble with this.
Because of this no one can enjoy and see what happens in season with the choices everyone made in season 1.

I agree especially when we all or most got season 1 on the same console as season 2
And like to see how the choices we made in season 1 will effect season 2.

Same issue. I've tried online and offline, I have digital copies of both seasons and I'm in Australia.
I like how we can't import our saves from season 1 but it still gives us the option for us to buy a digital version of season 1 down the bottom...
At least they've got their priorities down pat.

Both Season 1 and 400 days finished and the save file does not read. I have both physical versions of the seasons, and I'm playing with a PS4 from Spain.
The only thing keeping me going is knowing that over here in the UK, The Wolf Among Us is coming to PS4 too on Friday which from what I've seen is another epic Telltale game in the style of The Walking Dead so that'll distract me for a little bit till they get the fix for this game, it's another game where your choices affect the game

I can't play season 2 until it's fixed. So frustrating as I'm itching to carry on the story.
I also have the same issue and i am in the UK . just keeps saying ''Unable To Find A Save'' this is really not acceptable .
I know the feeling , i refuse to play using randomised selections from season 1.
I got driveclub and it was a shambles. Sold it after a day. Now this game has issues. Not a happy customer this last month.

Hello, We've got the same problem here in France, can't import save from season 1 to season 2

Maybe this has to do with firmware 2.0 ?

When I move the cursor over the game icon, it shows that I can buy the digital copy on psn for £19.99. It's installed on my Hdd but the system doesn't recognise that it's a full copy. Must be the 2.0 update as you said.

Same issue here! Have walking dead season 1 bought from psn store and wwalking dead season 2 on disk. Play through wd1 now and put in WD season 2 and it won't load the save file from season 1. That's outragous !!!!!! When will there be a fix for this?? Live in the Netherlands with a ps4 system.
