Choices not carrying over in episode 3! please help!!

Ok, so i started the episode 3 but right away i noticed in the previously video that it didnt show the choices i made but random ones instead. I then thought to replay the last chapter of episode two to see if it would get fixed. But it didnt! Now i dont know what to do... Its totally ruinning the game experience for me. I apologize for the inconvenience. Can you please clarify if you are waiting until the Credits of the last episode finish, to allow the choices to successfully upload to the server, or do you exit the game before the credits finish? Also, are you connected to the internet during play, or offline?

  • I tried all possible combinations. First time i played i didnt wait for the credits to finish and i dont remeber if wifi was on. This had never happened to me before so i wasnt paying attention. The second time i tried, i waited for the credits to finish and wifi was off. Didnt work. I just tried a third time with the internet connection on and waited for the credits to finish of course. Didnt work either. Im playing on a nexus 10, if this is somehow relevant. Can you please help me to fix this? I never had those problems in Season One... :(

My apologies, please also make sure that the game application is updated to the latest version. Unfortunately if you are still experiencing the issue, I recommend replaying Episode 2 from the beginning with WiFi connected, and play through, and make sure to wait for the credits to finish and your choices should be uploaded successfully. I apologize for any difficulties this may cause you.

  • Ok, so now that the game got recently updated in play store, i gave it another shot. I replayed the whole episode 2 with wifi on and waited for the credits to finish (exactly like you advised me to). It didnt work again. Not even after the last update. This is totally destroying the game. Why havent you gotten rid of this annoying bug by now?!

Can you please clarify if you have any third-party ROMs or mods installed on the device? If not, unfortunately I am out of potential solutions, and would have to recommend starting a new game, and replaying through again using a new save, and you should not experience the issue again.

  • I have been having similar issues with the Android version on my Galaxy S4. I have a save file from Season 1 that shows correctly in Season 2. Season 2 Episode 1 seemed to play just fine and save progress each time I stopped play and started again. I have played all the way through Episode 2 multiple times now both attempting to stop and start after saves and all the way through and it will never save progress even though it says it is saving. When I attempt to start again, Episode 1 shows broken down into it's 11 chapters of saved progress but Episode 2 says "Start Episode 2" as if I haven't played it yet. This is really lessening the game's enjoyment. I wondered if I didn't have adequate storage space on my device so I tried moving the game to the external SD card and that didn't do anything so I moved it back. Please offer some things to try; I am out of ideas.

Can you please clarify how large your internal storage on your Android device is, and how much space you have left on it? Please note that the game, and save files are only designed to work on internal storage, and will not work on an external storage device/SD card.

  • When this issue began I had 400MB (not much) of 16G, but since then I have run a file/system cleaning app and have 2G yet the saves still do not save. Are you saying that no Walking Dead files can be on the SD card even though my Application Manager says it is a game you can choose to live either place? I have tried it on the SD card and on the device to no avail. Any other ideas?

Yes, unfortunately none of the game's files can be stored on an SD card, or issues such as these can occur. I recommend deleting the Season Two game application, and re-downloading it from the Google Play Store, and see if you are then able to get the game to save while playing.

  • I uninstalled Season 2 and re-downloaded it from Google Play. It still sees my Season 1 save file and remembers the progress I made in Episode 1 for each chapter. I played Episode 2 past a couple saves and then closed it out and opened it back up to see if it saved progress; it did not. I then tried selecting "Play Without Save" and played into chapter 2 past several saves and closed out and opened back up. It did not save. What else can I try?

I apologize for the inconvenience, unfortunately I am out of potential solutions. You can try going to the device’s Settings Menu, then go to Applications, then Manage Applications, and select the Game Application and tap ‘Clear Data’ to clear the apps cached data, then try again. Unfortunately if that does not work, I would recommend try deleting your Season Two save file, and starting a new game from the beginning of Season Two, and see if you are able to save using a new save file.
