Uriel give everyone a quick look and shoves the saw into hopeless' arms

Tex's arm is on the floor, blood is everywhere. Hopeless isn't looking to good.

Uriel and Ann pick up hopeless and carry her to the Humvee as Zack helps Tex hobble to the Humvee. Eva and Dan bring a few barrels out on dollys.

Everyone gets into the Humvee. Eva is driving. Ann is directing

Ann- you have to drive like a maniac. The air field isn't going anywhere.
Eva- its how I drive. Get used to it. Where do I go?
Ann- here. Turn left. That's it there.
Eva turns left into the air fields parking lot. Ann notices a truck parked in front of the control tower.
Ann- Tex, who's truck is that?
Tex- fuuu...
Ann- what? Who are they?
Tex- some war prisoners were being held near here. They escaped after it all happened. Then they came after us.
Uriel- what! Why didn't you tell us? I left hoppas here!
Eva stops the truck Ann and Uriel jump out and run into the control tower. Ann has the gun York gave her. Uriel has a knife. They run up the stairs until they see a body riddled with bullets.
Ann- its not sora, she's probably on the top floor.
Uriel bolts up the stairs. Ann struggles to keep up. When Ann catch's up Uriel is standing in the middle of the door way looking into the top floor.
Uriel- what happened?
Ann looks around. There is multiple body's laying on the floor.
Ann- I have no idea.
They hear a loud thud come from behind a table.
Ann- hello?
Sora- fucking go away! I'll kill every last one of you!
Uriel- calm the fuck down! It's us! Uriel and Ann.
Sora looks around the edge of the table and sees Ann and Uriel.
Sora- oh thank God!
Sora stands up and walks out from behind the table. She's carrying hoppas.
Sora- they just showed up! And then. Fuck.
Ann- its okay, were here now.
Sora hands Uriel hoppas.
Uriel- let's go down there with the rest of them.
Uriel, Ann, and sora all leave the control tower and walk out into the air field. The plane had been pulled out onto the runway. Everyone is standing around talking. Ann, Uriel and sora join them. Sora sees Tex first.
Sora- what happened to you? Where's York?
Tex- York was shot... He, he turned... And bit. Me... What. Happened to... You?
Sora- those motherfucking terrorists showed up and shot the place up. They didn't do much.
Tex- good.
Dan- so, now that the plane is fueled where are we headed?
Tex- west first... We can... Get fuel there...
Zack- then?
Tex- I... Don't care... Wherever you... Want.
Hopeless- so, can we leave now?
Uriel- oh, good morning sunshine.

Eva- let's go.

Everyone boards the plane and sits down. Ann listens as the engines sputter to life. The plane slowly lurches forward. The ground slowly gets farther and farther away. Tomorrow, an air field. After that, heaven knows where...

Dan walk over. He is holding his gun.

The runway came into view and the plane soon touched down. The runway was small, nestled in the hills. Everyone scrambled out onto the runway. They all move Tex and Ann's body's out of the plane and onto the tarmac.
Sora- what do we do?
Dan- go get the fuel. Me and Uriel will burry the body's.
Sora- if that's what you want. The fuel should be I. The hangar.
Uriel- just focus on that.
Sora- OK, let's get to work.
Uriel and Dan walk to the edge of the runway and begin digging. Sora and the rest go look for fuel.

Dan looks out past the runway. It was a beautiful view. They were overlooking a valley.

By now the pit were deep enough so they placed the body's in them and began reburying the graves.

Uriel looks out into the valley Dan was talking about. He did not see the beauty he was talking about. Rather he saw at least a hindered walkers slowly clambering up the hill.
Uriel- shit! We got to go!

Uriel- look! The walkers are coming!

Dan and Uriel run down the tarmac towards the plane where they found the rest of them refueling the plane.

Dan- the walkers just came out of the woods! They must have heard the noise the plane made.

After a bit of arguing everyone reached a conclusion, they would head north. To North Dakota, it has a good climate. Regularly warm summers and cold winters. And lots of wildlife.

Conversations like this went on for many hours until everyone went to sleep. The next morning Uriel went to check on sora.
Uriel- so how are we doing?

Sora- were ahead of schedule. And the highway below us is big enough to land on.

Sora- are in South Dakota, out of fuel, and there isn't an air field in a hundred miles. Our plane is toast.
Uriel- looks like Dan might get to see mount Rushmore after all.
Sora- I'm going to put the plane down. Were about twenty miles south of a small town. We can get their before night fall.

Sorry its short. I didn't have as much time as I thought.
The landing wasn't to bad and soon everyone was out on the road.
Sora- just great.
Dan- what?
Sora- even if we do get fuel, this plane isn't going to be taking off again.
Uriel- why?
Eva- look up the road dummy.
Uriel looks up the road and sees a road block constructed mostly of abandoned cars and fallen trees.
Uriel- damn.
Zack- where do we go from here?
Uriel- sora, didn't you say something about a town near here?
Sora- yeah, its this way. Twenty miles.
Eva- let's get a move on then.
Everyone begins to walk in relative silence, they made some good ground and were at the town before nightfall. It was getting dark out though. As they walk into the town Uriel sees a sign.
Uriel- Hill City, South Dakota.
Sora- its a small town. We need to find shelter before dark.
Dan- there's a building up there on the left.
Eva- must be a general store. It will work.
Everyone walk towards the general store. Uriel opens the door and stops dead in his tracks.
Uriel- you are not going to believe this.
Zack- what is it?
Uriel- the store is fully stocked. Food, water, everything!
Dan- are you serious?
Uriel- yes I'm serious! Get in here.
Everyone goes inside. Multiple shelf's are filled with canned food and bottled water.
Eva- wow, nobody even stole the money out of the register.
Dan- what dose that matter?
Eva- no-nothing, just found it strange.
Everyone disperses scavenging the aisles, taking all they could hold in their bags. Suddenly the front door fly's open and a man walks in. He looks surprised. Eva and Dan pull their guns.

[Eva Drives]
Eva- I can drive, just tell me where were going.
Ann- great, were going to an air field a few miles from here.
Zack- an air field? Is it safe?
Tex- yeah... Its. Safe, we have... A plane.
Eva- a plane? Does it work?
Tex- yeah... Just needs. Fuel.
Zack- fuel? Like jet fuel?
Tex- yeah... Duh...
Zack- didn't Dan say he found some barrels of jet fuel?
Eva- yeah! Where is he?
Zack- I don't know. Go look for him.
Dan- what the fuck? I'm right here. I've been standing here for like, twenty minutes.
Eva- shit, sorry. Didn't see you.
Dan- yeah, well I'm easy to miss. But anyway, yes I found some fuel. There a few barrels over there.
Zack- how far will that get us?
Tex- far... Enough.. There's another... Air field close... Should... Have fuel.
Zack- OK then. Let's move.
Uriel and Ann pick up hopeless and carry her to the Humvee as Zack helps Tex hobble to the Humvee. Eva and Dan bring a few barrels out on dollys.
Zack- is that all? Let's go.
Everyone gets into the Humvee. Eva is driving. Ann is directing

Ann- you have to drive like a maniac. The air field isn't going anywhere.
Eva- its how I drive. Get used to it. Where do I go?
Ann- here. Turn left. That's it there.
Eva turns left into the air fields parking lot. Ann notices a truck parked in front of the control tower.
Ann- Tex, who's truck is that?
Tex- fuuu...
Ann- what? Who are they?
Tex- some war prisoners were being held near here. They escaped after it all happened. Then they came after us.
Uriel- what! Why didn't you tell us? I left hoppas here!
Eva stops the truck Ann and Uriel jump out and run into the control tower. Ann has the gun York gave her. Uriel has a knife. They run up the stairs until they see a body riddled with bullets.
Ann- its not sora, she's probably on the top floor.
Uriel bolts up the stairs. Ann struggles to keep up. When Ann catch's up Uriel is standing in the middle of the door way looking into the top floor.
Uriel- what happened?
Ann looks around. There is multiple body's laying on the floor.
Ann- I have no idea.
They hear a loud thud come from behind a table.
Ann- hello?
Sora- fucking go away! I'll kill every last one of you!
Uriel- calm the fuck down! It's us! Uriel and Ann.
Sora looks around the edge of the table and sees Ann and Uriel.
Sora- oh thank God!
Sora stands up and walks out from behind the table. She's carrying hoppas.
Sora- they just showed up! And then. Fuck.
Ann- its okay, were here now.
Sora hands Uriel hoppas.
Uriel- let's go down there with the rest of them.
Uriel, Ann, and sora all leave the control tower and walk out into the air field. The plane had been pulled out onto the runway. Everyone is standing around talking. Ann, Uriel and sora join them. Sora sees Tex first.
Sora- what happened to you? Where's York?
Tex- York was shot... He, he turned... And bit. Me... What. Happened to... You?
Sora- those motherfucking terrorists showed up and shot the place up. They didn't do much.
Tex- good.
Dan- so, now that the plane is fueled where are we headed?
Tex- west first... We can... Get fuel there...
Zack- then?
Tex- I... Don't care... Wherever you... Want.
Hopeless- so, can we leave now?
Uriel- oh, good morning sunshine.
Hopeless- oh shut up.
Eva- let's go.
Zack- but wait. Who's going to fly?
Sora- that would be me. Let's go. We will get to the other air field by morning.
Everyone boards the plane and sits down. Ann listens as the engines sputter to life. The plane slowly lurches forward. The ground slowly gets farther and farther away. Tomorrow, an air field. After that, heaven knows where...

Part 13
Its early morning, Ann sits in her seat on the plane as mostly everyone sleeps. They should get to the air field soon. Ann stands up and walks towards the cockpit. Sora is flying, the co- pilots seat is empty so she sits there.
Sora- what are you doing up here?
Ann- nothing, just bored.
Sora- we should get to the air field in about thirty minutes.
Ann- great, any ideas where were headed from there?
Sora- no idea. York always was talking about visit New York before he died.
Ann- sorry.
Sora- don't be. There was nothing you could have done. I'm sure of it.
Ann- thanks. Do you think Tex is going to be OK?
Sora- I'm not sure, she wasn't looking good last night. Actually I would appreciate it if you went and checked on her and changed the bandage.
Ann- alright. I'm on it.
Sora- thanks.
Ann stands and leave the cockpit and walks back to Tex's seat. As she walks back the rows she notices Uriel is awake and talking with Zack.
Uriel and Zack are sitting in their seats talking.
Zack- are you kidding me? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard!
Uriel- no I'm not kidding that actually happened.
Zack- wow, you must of had some explaining to do afterwards.
Uriel- well, after ruing that shirt my grandma just bought. Yes I had a lot of explaining to do.
Zack- so what happened?
Uriel- I got in a lot of trouble. You should hear the one about the time my best friend threw a knife at me!
Zack- your friend threw a knife at you?
Uriel- yes! We got in a little disagreement about something and he threw a knife at me! It almost hit me to!
Zack- it sounds like you've had an interesting childhood.
Uriel- yup that's one word.
Ann walk up next to them.
Ann- hey guys I'm going to go check on Tex.
Uriel- OK. Why do I have to know that?
Ann- I don't know. Just thought I'd mention it.
Uriel- OK have fun.
Ann walks off and Uriel and Zack start talking again.
Zack- so do you have any ideas of where to go?
Uriel- I don't know. Maybe fort Knox? I heard they put up a safe zone over there after it all happened. Where do you want to go?
Zack- I don't know, maybe south. Warmer climate than here in the Appalachians.
Uriel- yeah, that's true.
Ann- guys! I don't think Tex is breathing!
Uriel- what? Why do you think that?
Ann- because she's not fucking breathing!
Uriel- calm down, let me look.
Uriel stands and turns to face Ann. She is standing facing Uriel in front of Tex's seat. Uriel begins to move forward but stops.
Ann- why did you stop?
Uriel- I don't know. I just thin-
Uriel cuts his sentence short because he notices movement behind Ann.
Uriel- Ann! Move!
Ann stands frozen as a zombified Tex grabs her by her shoulders and pulls her down.
Ann- fuck! Help! Help me!
bang
A gunshot goes off and Tex falls dead.
Uriel- are you OK?
Ann- yes, she just turned! She just, how?
Uriel- I don't know!
Dan walk over. He is holding his gun.
Dan- are you alright? I heard the screaming and saw Tex. Then I shot.
Ann- I'm fine.
Dan- are you sure? Did she bite you?
Ann- n-no.
Dan- why are you covering your shoulder?
Ann- I. I. Damnit. She bit me.
Uriel- fuck! What do we do? We can't cut it off!
Dan- there's only one thing to do. I'm sorry.
Uriel- damnit! This is my fault!
Ann- no, its not...(Ann takes a shaky breath) le-lets just get it over with.
Dan- I'm sorry it came to this.
Dan lifts his pistol. He aims it at Ann's forehead. Just one motion and a 9mm round will go into her brain and it will be over. Dan slowly pulls the trigger back.

Part 14
Everyone sat in silence. It was just to screwed up to talk about. Uriel knew they were getting close because the plane was descending. They just needed fuel. The runway came into view and the plane soon touched down. The runway was small, nestled in the hills. Everyone scrambled out onto the runway. They all move Tex and Ann's body's out of the plane and onto the tarmac.
Sora- what do we do?
Dan- go get the fuel. Me and Uriel will burry the body's.
Sora- if that's what you want. The fuel should be I. The hangar.
Uriel- just focus on that.
Sora- OK, let's get to work.
Uriel and Dan walk to the edge of the runway and begin digging. Sora and the rest go look for fuel.
Uriel- it was my fault.
Dan- you can blame yourself for that.
Uriel- I just froze for no reason.
Dan- there was nothing you could have done.
Uriel- was there? Was there really?
Dan-...
Dan looks out past the runway. It was a beautiful view. They were overlooking a valley.
Dan- it gonna change.
Uriel- what do you mean?
Dan- just look at it. Why dose it even exist? Why do we exist?
Uriel- apparently just to die.
Dan- no, there's something more.
Uriel- what is it then?
Dan- I don't know. But if humans could survive the worst of plagues, we sure as hell can survive this.
Uriel- what are you getting at?
Dan- that's for you to decide.
By now the pit were deep enough so they placed the body's in them and began reburying the graves.
Uriel- I just wish it could have ended differently.
Dan- me to.
Uriel looks out into the valley Dan was talking about. He did not see the beauty he was talking about. Rather he saw at least a hindered walkers slowly clambering up the hill.
Uriel- shit! We got to go!
Dan- what? Why?
Uriel- look! The walkers are coming!
Dan- shit! We need to get the others!
Dan and Uriel run down the tarmac towards the plane where they found the rest of them refueling the plane.
Uriel- we need to go! Now!
Eva- why?
Dan- the walkers just came out of the woods! They must have heard the noise the plane made.
Sora- don't worry we can fight them off.
Dan- no, theres way to many.
Sora- OK. Well, get on the plane then. We have enough fuel.
Uriel- are you sure?
Sora- yeah, just get on the plane.
Everyone gets into the plane. Uriel went last and as he got on he saw the walkers reaching the runway.
Uriel- let's go!
The engines roared to life and the plane rolled forward and took off. Uriel looked out the window as walkers over ran the runway. He also saw the graves.
Zack- so where are we going?
Eva- I don't know. Uriel?

[North Dakota] I voted on this one.
After a bit of arguing everyone reached a conclusion, they would head north. To North Dakota, it has a good climate. Regularly warm summers and cold winters. And lots of wildlife.
Uriel- so were going to North Dakota then?
Eva- seems like.
Hopeless- I don't like the cold...
Uriel- get over it.
Zack- someone better tell the pilot where were headed.
Uriel- I'm on it.
Uriel walks to the cockpit
Sora- did you figure out where were headed?
Uriel- yup, North Dakota.
Sora- North Dakota? Well, that's good.
Uriel- why's that good?
Sora- that's where I was already headed.
Uriel- nice.
Sora- yup. Its about a 24 hour flight if we don't stop.
Uriel- won't we need more fuel?
Sora- nope. We already got enough.
Uriel- OK then. 24 hours trapped in a plane with each other. I wonder who's going to jump out first.
Sora- haha, very funny. And to let you know, me and tex have been on longer flights together.
Uriel- I'm going to go talk to the others.
Sora- OK. See you later.
Uriel walks out of the cockpit and back into the seating area. Everyone is talking to eachother.
Zack- buffalo! Just imagine how that would taste!
Dan- your crazy, how would we ever get a buffalo?
Zack- you shoot it.
Dan- and then what? You going to eat it their? Your not going to be able to drag it alone.
Zack- hey, just let me dream alright.
Dan- alright, you have all the daydreams about buffalo you want.
Zack- so, what are you looking forward to in North Dakota?
Dan- I've always wanted to see mount Rushmore.
Zack- sorry to burst your bubble but, mount Rushmore is in South Dakota.
Dan- damn. So close.
Zack- and yet, so far.

Conversations like this went on for many hours until everyone went to sleep. The next morning Uriel went to check on sora.
Uriel- so how are we doing?
Sora- good news and bad news.
Uriel- good news?
Sora- were ahead of schedule. And the highway below us is big enough to land on.
Uriel- bad news?
Sora- are in South Dakota, out of fuel, and there isn't an air field in a hundred miles. Our plane is toast.
Uriel- looks like Dan might get to see mount Rushmore after all.
Sora- I'm going to put the plane down. Were about twenty miles south of a small town. We can get their before night fall.

Part 16
The landing wasn't to bad and soon everyone was out on the road.
Sora- just great.
Dan- what?
Sora- even if we do get fuel, this plane isn't going to be taking off again.
Uriel- why?
Eva- look up the road dummy.
Uriel looks up the road and sees a road block constructed mostly of abandoned cars and fallen trees.
Uriel- damn.
Zack- where do we go from here?
Uriel- sora, didn't you say something about a town near here?
Sora- yeah, its this way. Twenty miles.
Eva- let's get a move on then.
Everyone begins to walk in relative silence, they made some good ground and were at the town before nightfall. It was getting dark out though. As they walk into the town Uriel sees a sign.
Uriel- Hill City, South Dakota.
Sora- its a small town. We need to find shelter before dark.
Dan- there's a building up there on the left.
Eva- must be a general store. It will work.
Everyone walk towards the general store. Uriel opens the door and stops dead in his tracks.
Uriel- you are not going to believe this.
Zack- what is it?
Uriel- the store is fully stocked. Food, water, everything!
Dan- are you serious?
Uriel- yes I'm serious! Get in here.
Everyone goes inside. Multiple shelf's are filled with canned food and bottled water.
Eva- wow, nobody even stole the money out of the register.
Dan- what dose that matter?
Eva- no-nothing, just found it strange.
Everyone disperses scavenging the aisles, taking all they could hold in their bags. Suddenly the front door fly's open and a man walks in. He looks surprised. Eva and Dan pull their guns.
