My Opinion.

so i pre-ordered the game, but just had the time to play... and im kinda disappointed.

the story was good and i truly cared for all the house forrester characters! truly cared and i was shocked in the end.
story-wise its good. not a mind blowing one untill the end. i was SO ANGRY UGHHRHHRBFAHBLA!!!! anyways, it was a great ending!

what bothers me was the art style. it looks better with a screen shot than its being moving. it looks rushed and really some scene i was staring at how unpolished it was that i forgot to answer, which lead to me re-playing that scene. i wont be happy if telltale keep this graphics unpolished for next episodes, it really bothers me to play something unpolished. and how my choices and the scenes went seems like it was more linear than actually it matters to do, which made me kinda un-happy.

i know telltale listen to fans about certain complaints, because we have 6 future episodes to come. if they are the same state than this 1st episode than i wont be happy playing the game. i feel it will harm us more than anyone, we cant kill ramsey or cersi or anyone that matters or did us wrong that telltale isnt creating, so it kinda felt un-important. i really love the atmosphere although the blurry edges around the characters and sometimes glitchy walls, made me more angry which i have never said this about a telltale game and always defended their engine, but while playing GOT they REALLY need to put some effort. it really did make me enjoy the episode ALOT less, i would really loved it if it was more polished and not blurry or glitchy. anyways, 5 episodes left and i hope telltale make some changes.

i am not one to make such un-pleasant review, the ONLY telltale game i had issues with. the problem is that it would be SO MUCH AWESOME if it wasnt blurry, glitchy and un-polished. i liked it more for screenshots not moving. :)

thanks all have a good day. :) xx

  • Yeah, I agree it could've been more polished. But I don't really care, as long as the story and the characters still make me feel attached to the game.

  • its called being lazy, i truly loved the characters. but if this is how i'll look and play the game than i wont enjoy it.. i hope telltale fix this problem....

Guys, did you'll find the gameplay less responsive. I have also played wolf among us, I felt it was smooth and had a quick response when a key should have been pressed. While playing game of thrones I had to press the key twice for it to accept it and while having to select an option in the conversation I would be taking some time searching where the mouse pointer is the same problem in the mouse action sequence. Am I the only one who felt the gameplay wasn't that smooth and reaponsive . I really feel they have to work on that.

  • Same here. I was also having that problem with TFTB. Honestly, I think they should go back to the "boxes" answers, instead of having them in a line. It makes what you are choosing much clearer, and leaves less room for misclicks.

  • The artwork and graphics were fine to me, and anyway the story was too good for me to really focus on it. What pissed me off more than anything is the mouse control and the misclicks which lead me to exit the game twice and replay that scene.

Despite its tiny flaws, I am loving this game so I just hope Telltale releases a patch to fix the lag or whatever by the next episode.

  • One issue I did notice as well is when selecting save files and such, the game can actually start an episode without telling it to. It's only minor, but I lost my data for the final chapter with Ethan and Ramsey. Will need to replay that part.

I did notice general sluggishness as well and the mouse cursor was again hard to find before the timer ends for dialog.

But again, I'm generally happy with the product as it's more about the story than anything else.

I agree with you guys. TellTale make exceptional story driven game. I love it but these glitches do come in the way, especially when we are so into the story but can't find the cursor to select the option we want. If they improve these small gliches Its going to take the game to a whole new level of excitement. I love game of thrones TV series and loved the game too.
