Game of Thrones mouse lag

edited December 2014 in Game of Thrones

I have two issues that prevent me from playing the game. This is the first:

When using mouse and keyboard, the cursor is not displayed when the mouse is being moved during choice selection, and moreover the cursor seems to lag behind mouse movement greatly. This means I can't select the conversation option I want in time.

I'm using a Nvidia graphics chipset and Windows 8.1.

@DoctorJ After looking over your Support Tool information, it seems that your computer is running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 252mb of dedicated memory. I recommend either trying to update your current graphics card's drivers to the latest version, and see if you are able to play, or try playing the game on a computer above minimum system requirements if you have the ability to.

You can also try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting, and then continue the episode, and see if your issue is resolved.

@Demerzel Please try starting the game again, and try changing the game's resolution and graphics settings to a lower setting from the Options menu, and then continue the episode, and see if your issue is resolved.

@pmalo46 It appears that your graphics card has not been updated in a while. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory to run the game successfully, your current card is running at 64mb. I recommend updating your graphics card's drivers to the latest version, and then try playing the game again.

  • Hi there,

I have the same problem as everyone above. I have changed the graphic settings etc but still my mouse is not showing up and even with the touch screen it is not reacting fast enough (I keep on being shot by arrows in the very beginning). This is my support file https://www.sendspace.com/file/7ulu4h

After looking over your Support Tool information, it appears that your computer is running under the minimum system requirements in more than one category. Unfortunately your computer's processor is currently running at 1.5 GHz, when the game requires a minimum of 2 GHz processing speed. I recommend either try playing on a computer above the minimum system requirements if you have the ability, or contacting the retailer that you purchased the game from, for a refund. If you purchased the game from our website, please contact/email our Support Staff at Support@Telltalegames.com, and make sure to include the email address associated with your Telltale account, and the Order ID number that you received at the time of purchase, and they will be able to assist you further with your particular issue.

After looking over your support tool information, the only graphics card that is showing up is an Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 which is currently running under the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Can you please clarify if you have another more powerful graphics card on the computer that you could enable when playing this game? If so, you may be able to play the game by enabling the more powerful graphics card through Optimus. To do this, please follow the steps in This Article.

If you are trying to run the Support Tool, please make sure that you have downloaded the PC, or Mac Support Tool batch file, depending on what your computer is. Then place the downloaded file on your Desktop, and double-click it. A black Command Window with text will pop up, and run. It should take between 5-10 minutes to complete. After it has finished, a new folder with a file will pop up. Upload that file to the file hosting website, and reply here with the download link to that file copied and pasted in a reply to this thread, and I will be able to assist you further.

  • I'm experiencing the same problem, but I don't have the luxury of getting a new computer just like that. You know what would be great? If we could use hotkeys for the conversation options. Either that or placing the verbal options further apart, in two rows and two columns. Right now it's just plain annoying.

Unfortunately my only other suggestion would be to make sure that the graphics card's drivers are updated to the latest version, and see if you are then able to play the game successfully. If you are still unable to play, I recommend either playing on a computer above the minimum specs if you have the ability to, or contacting the retailer you purchased it from, for a refund. • I don't know if the usual problem here is that people can't see their mouse, but I seem to not be able to have any vision over it which makes it difficult to do the story. My link is included below and I believe my biggest issue is that I cannot react accordingly to the actions ingame, but hopefully it's an easy fix
